Community Outreach Program of PNP (Philippine National Police) for the Kids in our Village

Almost every month the (PNP) Philippine National Police here in Alcoy does a community outreach program, and usually, when they do an outreach program their audience is adults wherein they discuss the effects of illegal drugs on the individuals who uses it and what it can do to the community. Somewhat like doing a monologue to the community.

This time their community outreach program was different, they did a feeding program for the kids here in our small village. A big salute to these men in uniform as they initiate things that surely made these kids feel safe and full at the same time.

It was exactly 3 pm this afternoon, there are more or less 20 kids were given snacks by the police officers, and these snacks includes sandwiches, a pack of juice, and spaghetti placed in a food pack.

As the giving of snacks is about to start, one of the female police officers told the kids in a polite tone to fall in line, which was then assisted by one of the village officials by handing over the snacks to the children.

We as an adult, tend to see this kind of feeding program as a simple kind of snack but for these kids, it's already a feast in their eyes. I even saw one of the kids jumping with joy when he heard that there was spaghetti prepared just for them. And I felt happy as well just to see that the kids appreciate the simple things like this.

Thanks to these Police officers for painting smiles on the faces of these kids. The act of kindness by the police officers has brought a lot of joy to these kids. It is a simple act that makes a big difference in the lives of these children.
