From Concept to Creation: Cover image design for Hive Learners

For an artist's bringing a concept into creation is a whole lot fun and exciting experience but also easier since artist knows about tools to use or how to give it a look from a blank canvas but i ain't not a proper artist but when there's a Canva and a concept it eventually becomes easy to make things happen.


So, This time hive learners is looking for a new cover design and there's a contest here I thought to join and created a new design as well after spending some hours of the day.

let's start with the step by step process and final results including the idea behind concept.

Process of Creating Cover Design - Step By Step
I started with creating a template for cover and adjusting size manually to 1280 x 240 as stated.

Setting colours of cover I choose from Hive learners logo so it does give a realistic feel.

Included some fonts as you can see

Next, I included element in the corners to give it a sleek look.


After that included more elements according to the theme of hive learners.

This is the final results after including all the elements.

Idea Behind This Concept

As you know hive learner focus on awareness and educating newbies to learning about Hive as well as engaging in other activities.

So, people are learning in the hive learners community as you can see on the laptop and That panda is already graduated and now looking after those people in hive learners.

Now you noticed that part of cover image shown below

It is actually community people engaging with each other, discussing about stuff and activities usually happens in this community plus they're growing nonstop since we're family of 5,000 already.

This is what that part of the image represent and that's the whole idea behind this image design.

The concept is a very good one. One problem I have with all this designing and stuff is always mixing of colors. I find it very difficult combining colors at this stage but I think you nailed it.

Glad you liked the concept. For colours, it's just 3 colours overall that too took from logo to match the theme tho, if that's font color I could adjust that to same color or different combination.

Oh ok I get it now.

But even at that I’ll find it hard combining it 😂. I think I need to take a course in color combination or am forever gonna sack at photoshop.
