Thoughts About The World Record

Welcome To My Blog

Hello friends, happy weekend and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Feels good to participate in the @hiveghana weekly prompt. You can still join here as it has a few hours before ending.

I have been hearing about the Guinness world record but didn't know much about it until last year when Hilda Baci started the attempt to break the world marathon cooking for 93 hours.

I recently heard someone has taken over her but attempting that was a motivation to me. This competition took place in Lagos Nigeria but was recorded live for everyone to see and watch. People who live close by went themselves to witness the event and lucky people got free food. She cooks over 100+ different foods and that keeps me wondering how someone can be so talented.

Not me in the kitchen for 3 hours, already sweating and tired 😂 but someone did that for 3 days and more. She wasn't allowed to sit or rest and had a time when she would just take a bath and change her clothes.
True determination brings success.

According to what I heard and stories, it took her over 2 years to work on herself, her body and save up money to join this competition. She has made several attempts to join until finally they decided to give her a chance.
Doing that and achieving that gave many youth hope that truly dreams come to pass no matter how long it takes.
The funny part is that it woke us up with the passion of many Nigerian youth that wanted to give it a try too.

Well I think everybody who attempts a record should at least be given 1 year to be a holder before anyone else can go for the same thing. It gives that person this privilege to enjoy being the holder. If everyone is given access to break each other record without a time frame it makes the position not to have value. People will find it easy and want to attempt too.
Also I think there should be a rule that nobody from the same country should be able to break such a record same year. At least if someone from America does something and is a holder, the next person can be from a different country or continent. It gives everyone a chance to try and display what they are good at.

Thank you for reading

For the last part I really agree because I feel like people from the same country don’t even want to break the record because they feel inspired, they just see a competition.

Hilda Baci's story truly gave hope to many Nigerian youth. I also think you made a great point when you suggested that a record holder should have at least a one year term. Fortunately, Hilda rode on the wings of her victory to achieve even greater success in her business by hosting her online cooking course.

When there are more selfish interest who are just looking for fame, you can expect nothing but a rush to break a clumsy record set by someone through hard work
