Every two months, we harvested our coconuts and this is one of Primary source of income. Most of the Farmers here in the Province are owned by a field and contains many coconut plants, a kind of valuable and good for farming activities. Tonight, I will share our simple living and how do we do our job everytime when we do harvesting. We already do this kind of work many years already and we are very fun and like our simple work. I am very lucky to have this place, I can plant many kinds of crops, vegetables and any other valuable plants that is good and perfect for business porpuses.

This Morning, at exactly 8 AM when our those people who will climb up the coconut tree and or should we say coconut harvester people started to arrived and this job will easily done because they are fun and enjoyed working this kind of job with no hassle. First, they cleaned the top of the coconut tree just like removing those dry leaves and dried palm. They carefully drop those thing and after that they started to drop those coconut that can be harvested.

While we are also waiting in the ground and started to gathered those dry coconut leaves. This can make our areas clean and fascinating to see. Instead of burning, we decided to put those leaves at the coconut stems, it will serve as an organic fertilizer and keeps the soil always moist and cool.

Dry coconut leaves can also make as broom sticks and it can sell to the Public market. But it needs time to produce more broom sticks, as for that I removed those dry leaves one-by-one and put in the sacks. I will make a broom sticks as soon as my work is done. My plan is to sell the broomsticks to Our Public market at the price of 25 Pesos per tied. This can help our areas clean and well use in a good way.

Even if the coconut is not yet turn completely brown color, we also harvested this kind of color just like Green. Our Coconut harvester people are very more expert on this kind of job, that is why we let them drop those green coconuts. By gathering those, it needs to removed in this kind of thing were the coconut fruit attached. In local term, we called it "Butay". This were the coconut attached together and some of it are hardly to removed to the fruit.

We called this kind of thing, "Pagkong or Takong". It is good for using as a firewood and it can easily burn because it is a kind of light thing that can easily burn. I remembered when I was a kid, I always sliding at the hill using this thing and we are very enjoyed that time.

This what we called "Palwa" or Coconut Palm. This is also good for using as firewoods and sometimes I sell this to Public Market. Last time I earned 500 Pesos by selling to market and for me, this is also a good kind of business I have here in our Place. After removing the coconut leaves, I gathered and put it in one place, and wait to be dried before cutting it into an equal measurements. We used firewood instead of Stoves for cooking food and in order to have more firewood, we put it in the place that cannot be wet by the rain. I have plan to make sell to the Public market again. There are lots of good opportunities that can make earn here in my place, And it is possible to achieve more success behind of our hard works.

When we were children, we also went to the coconut tree to get dry leaves and make them into broomsticks.
