Celebrate Holiday Season with My Love Ones : Christmas in My Second Home and New Year in My Home

Christmas was my favorite holiday of all. It allows every child in the world to feel the excitement and enjoyment that Christmas brings.

This year after the typhoon hit our country Philippines many Filipinos again are in sorrow and grief because some of them lost their properties and others even loved one's. And that's the saddest part, losing someone you love and celebrating Christmas and New Year without them. But life is unpredictable, we can never see what lies ahead of us. What we can do is to live what's in the present and move forward while our life is pacing.

I was there, I experienced two massive typhoons Haiyan (Yolanda) and Odette (Rai) . Can you imagine the trauma caused by these typhoons?
My whole body was trembling while my tears were rolling down my cheeks to my chin. Everytime I think about the devastation that these typhoons brought, my heart becomes heavy.🥺

But then again, I have no choice, because nature has its own course . I, We can't do anything about it but to be prepared in the future .

After the typhoon , Christmas will continue it's our choice to Merry or not. And of course we chose to be Merry, it's a once a year celebration. Even just for once, let's be happy that we are still alive ,breathing and can move to have a better life.

I celebrated my holiday with my sister Ate Gil,his bf and baby Bobby. The night before Christmas, our friends visited us and we had dinner. @asasiklause, @itsmiessyonpeakd, Cynthia, Jovey and her husband , Honey and her family. It was an amazing night, full of laughter and chit-chats.. All the food was prepared and cooked by Kuya Rob, Ate Gil's Hubby . . . While Baby Bobby was excited to open his presents that night but his dad wants to open them on Christmas day 😁. Good thing he waited.

Christmas Day! the most awaited time 😁. Opening gifts , I got too many presents from them and Bobby has too much presents too like literally too much 😁😂 ,he even said, these is too much mommy and daddy , no more gifts . He meant he doesn't want to open gifts anymore. hahaha.

Ate Gil got awesome gifts too. We are so happy that day, despite the terrible experience because of the typhoon, we assure that Baby Bobby will feel the essence of Christmas.. And for sure, he will never forget that day.

On New Year's Day, as I mentioned in my previous post, I am here in the province with my family. I celebrated with them ,after a long time of being away and not seeing them. My heart was so happy that I finally celebrated new year's eve and day with them.

Day after New Year's Eve, my Mom and I, together with my youngest sibling, went to the supermarket to buy stuff for the house and for new year's eve. The store was so crowded with customers.

After that, we prepared to cooked the ready made cake and I searched in the Youtube How to make a frosting without the Powdered Sugar. Finally, now I know how to make it, thanks to the chef of Outsider Tart…

I also decorated our wall , just simple and not fancy. Our table was arranged by Mom, because she's good at it, even in arranging flowers and wreaths it's her forti too. Can you see the Sign Board ? My Mom wrote it. 🥰😊 Wish my penmanship is like hers.

We waited until 12am to be exact .. our place was so noisy and everybody was shouting" Happy New Year", Although we didn't buy fireworks ,it was indeed still fun.. My siblings were happy that I was with them and we all ate together. Mom and I had wine after. We also have soju but until now we haven't drink it .hahaha, Maybe that's for next year again. hahaha ,just joking.

Long talk for me and my mom, while my brothers listened to my stories about how we celebrated our holiday season a long time ago. 😊 I always miss my other siblings, especially events like this. It's been awhile since we are complete. Hope someday, somehow.🥺

Indeed, 2021 has been a roller coaster ride for all of us. I hope this year will be more abundant in love, peace and unity all over the world.

Cheers to a New Year! new opportunities! a new chance to change! new chance to choose ! new life to look forward to! Let's take it at a slow pace but surely we will get there.
