The doubt behind the blind belief - La duda tras la ciega creencia

The wise master taught us that if he/she burned in a different way, decomposed in front of our eyes, screamed very sharply... someone, who was hit with a stake in the heart, would expel all the evil that resided in his soul, that evil, which witches and demons had sown in a person.

The master was wise. We had learned how to exorcise evil entities, in flames and also by hanging them or throwing them into a lake to suffocate them. Why would anyone in his right mind not fight against evil? If I have the strength I will do it without hesitation.

The master was very wise, he taught us to harden our hearts so as not to listen to the wailing of the demons. The master told us that evil would always react in some way to the ritual we preached.

But, master, with so many rituals we have performed because of your teachings, we have not seen any sign of evil. In the end, only a scorched, drowned, stoned or stabbed body remains. I do not notice the difference between these bodies and the others. Could it be that we have made a mistake, master? could it be that... mmm... we are evil?

El sabio maestro nos enseñaba que si ardía, se descomponía o gritaba muy agudamente alguien que fue alcanzado con una estaca en el corazón expulsaría todo el mal que en su alma residía.

El maestro era sabio. Habíamos aprendido como exorcizar a las brujas, en las llamas y también atándolas y lanzándolas a un lago para que se asfixiara. ¿Por qué alguien en su sano juicio no peliaría contra la maldad? Si tengo la fuerza lo haré sin dudar.

El maestro era muy sabio, nos enseñó a endurecer el corazón para no escuchar los lamentos de los demonios. El maestro nos decía, que siempre el mal reaccionaría de alguna manera al ritual que pregonamos.

Pero, maestro, con tantos rituales que hemos realizado por tus enseñanzas, no hemos visto ninguna señal del mal. Al final, solo queda un cuerpo chamuscado, ahogado, lapidado o apuñalado. No noto la diferencia entre estos cuerpos y los otros. ¿Será que nos hemos equivocado maestro? ¿será que… mmm … nosotros hemos hecho el mal?
