Visiting Buho Rock Resort in Camotes

IMG20220324133105.jpg

How are you all doing, hivers? With fewer travel restrictions and everything gradually returning to normal, I'm sure most of you are intending to visit and enjoy the beauty of nature this summer. I'll be talking about my experience during my visit to Buho Rock Resort on Camotes Island.

Buho Rock is a renowned attraction on Camotes Island. Poblacion Poro is the location of this amazing and fascinating location. This location is around 27-30 minutes away from where we are staying. I expected to pay an entrance fee, but there was none when we went, which is a wonderful thing.

The environment was so tranquil and quiet and I was assuming it was because it was a weekday and most tourists and even locals liked to visit on weekends as a family or as a group of friends for social bonding.
Buho Rock is not only recognized for its stunning rock formations and mesmerizing views, but it also draws individuals who enjoy cliff diving, which I am not (lol). I'd rather cheer on those who want to attempt, but I'd prefer to stay on the other side.

We arrived at Buho Rock to a bright blue sky and a tempting ocean. I could look and sit there appreciating the place for a number of hours. I wanted to walk down and have a closer look at the site and the cliff, but my legs were refusing to cooperate. We are suffering from a severe ache as a result of riding a motorcycle on a rough road in some sections of the island.
Fortunately, I was able to capture some lovely images from a distance.

There are few people downstairs and kids around and enjoying the view as well.
We decided to take a break and have our lunch in one of the cafeterias on the site because it was already midday.
After we finished our lunch, I went around the area and noticed signage describing what this facility had to offer.

If you don't appreciate cliff diving or are too terrified to attempt it, they do have a swimming pool where you can splash yourself with water.
You can also go snorkeling, and they have a guest house where you may stay as well as a place where you can hold a conference or training.

We paused for a few minutes to take in the scenery, rest, and breathe in some fresh air. I was watching several youngsters dive from the rock and had a good time in the sea. My only regret from this visit is that I did not have the opportunity to walk down and look closer at the sea and cliff, and I hope that when I return, I will be able to do so and spend more time here.

That's all for now, hivers; I hope this blog gave you a taste of what Camotes Island has to offer when you visit. Until my next expedition on the island.

I work with a Philippine every day... he's an awesome mate. I actually never acknowledged but I should start doing it more often here. My team is really amazing.

No entrance fee for such a wonderful place? Dream vacation + dream budget 🥰🥰 Grabe, super sulit T^T I'm really mesmerized po talaga sa bluish-green water, tho hindi ako magaling lumangoy, parang gusto ko po sumulong, haha.

It's preferable po talaga to tour during weekdays, no? Super quiet + hindi crowdy. 🤍🤍
