Visiting A Digital Photo Art Exhibition

This morning I went to see an exhibition that I knew it's closing soon. These exhibitions are changing every two weeks, so you have to watch the schedule, if you don't want to miss them. Obviously you don't have to see them all, but you never know which one is going to make a huge impact on you, help you develop new skills and so on. I love art, these exhibitions are for free, so what's there to lose, right?

Digital Photo Art Exhibition.jpg

When I got there, greeted the gallery ladies as I always do and asked what I can see today. Turned out the exhibition was just about to end as the new one was there already and people worked on taking the old artwork down and hanging the new ones on the walls. So I went up quickly to see the artworks, till there were still available.

20231004_111055a.jpg

The exhibition was called Land Of The Virus by Ede Tordai and was the nicest digital art I have ever seen in a gallery so far. Looking at the poster, I don't think you are able to figure out much, but no worries, I'm going to show you the artworks below.

20231004_111104a.jpg

Eyes

What do you see when you look at this one?

20231004_111118a.jpg

Fish

@coolmidwestguy, does this look like a fish? I think it does :)

20231004_111136a.jpg

Blue Laguna

Now you may wonder why is this art so special. Have a better look at it. What do you see? Do you know how it's done?

There are different apps you can use, with different effects, to get these photos. However, the main ingredient for the success is the initial photo you use.

20231004_111202a.jpg

Full Moon

What these digital photos have in common is the nails. If you go back and have a good look, you can see the nails everywhere, or the barbed wire.

20231004_111218a.jpg

Aquarius

I was standing there, looking at this one, trying to figure out how it was done, what was the starting point and what filters were applied to get this result. But I had no answer. However, for me, this looks more like a flying insect, rather than an Aquarius. The colors are perfect I'd say, the orange background matches perfectly the rust nails.

20231004_111232a.jpg

Mrs. Covid

I don't know what Mrs Covid looks like, but what I see here reminds me of those scary, even deadly creatures you see in science fiction/horror movies that attack and kill people.

20231004_111317a.jpg

Trap

I was really curious to know how this was done, but that's a secret that will never be revealed. The fact that the top has a blue light and the bottom has some lace like layers, makes me believe it's a complex, multi layer process.

20231004_111330a.jpg

Bridge

Can you see the bridge? This was actually a cool one, not that the others were not cool. The bridge narrowing and disappearing in the center makes it interesting for me.

20231004_111341a.jpg

Spider

Spider is the perfect title for this. That blue light can be the body of the spider, if you like. It fits perfectly.

20231004_111358a.jpg

Mr. Covid

Lol, do you remember Mrs. Covid? Here's the husband.

Oktober - Tordai Ede - Land of Virus.jpg

How do they look? I'd say scary. Both of them.

20231004_111412a.jpg

Covidland

20231004_111429a.jpg

20231004_111441a.jpg

Easy Rider

20231004_111502a.jpg

Smile Face

20231004_111515a.jpg

Help Me!

This was another cool one.

20231004_111529a.jpg

The Old

20231004_111538a.jpg

Crucifix

20231004_111551a.jpg

Totem

20231004_111603a.jpg

Papillon

20231004_111612a.jpg

The Girl

This was another nice one and the girl is the perfect title for it.

20231004_111621a.jpg

Bat Cave

I would avoid this at any cost as i don't like bats :))

So how do you find this type of art? Have you seen similar art before?

How nice that you arrived in time to appreciate these magnificent works, which I think you should have used as a mirror effect for these images,in such a way that you could duplicate the objectives.

I was lucky today.

There are techniques to create this kind of art, but I think I'm not going to focus on it 🙂

How do you keep finding these cool art exhibs?

I'm still not sure how I feel about digital art. It was absolutely clear to me before ai generated art became a thing. But now ...I don't know!
I still find them very interesting. I know the batcave would make a good replacement for the art hanging at my dentist's 😆

Lol, how do I find them? 😎 I'm a good detective 🕵️‍♀️ although someone said I'm a spy. I'm lucky as we have a few exhibition halls for free, no entry fee and they have a different exhibition every two weeks.

I prefer traditional art too, and there are not many digital art exhibitions, but now we got one.

Wait as today I visited two and the other is stunning, jaw dropping. I'm going to post about it soon. Let's see if you like those paitings. Those would be perfect for your dentist's waiting room, but at a much higher price 😁

Should I tag you? 🤔

Wow! That's so cool. You get to visit so many art exhibs!! I'm jealous.

I'll be waiting for the post. Maybe you should add the painting at my dentists and see what people have to say 😆 I'm sure it won't be any different from my opinion. Which is burn it and throw the ashes far far away from all art and artists

No need to be jealous, at least not for this as I'm sharing everything I see here, so you can see it too 😀

As about the painting you posted, maybe our knowledge in art is not enough to appreciate it 😇

They are wonderful works, some are a bit scary but these are just great for tattoos 😅 I don't know which of them I like the most, I wouldn't want to have to choose one... I love them 😍

Enjoy the rest of the day, darling 🥰❤️

I think most of them are scary. Imagine hanging these on your bedroom wall and waking up at night seeing them. Better not 😁.
If I would be forced to choose one, I would pick Help Me!, because of the hands. That is less scary in my opinion.

Thanks for the nice wishes, you too 🤗❤️

The art exhibit looks great, I think I would go with Blue Laguna. The tonality and shape resembles my tastes. It looks like a position, or an enclosed drop of water, but at the same time it is not. I like it.

Not shown in the painting is my lure it's chasing 🤣

I thought bats are the country bird there. Hehe.

Easy Rider looks like a scary ride. Looks like a fall for eternity if you fall off the path.

These were fun to look at and the title for quite a few of them I seen.

Nope, bats are not country birds here, they live in cages.

I'm glad you like them and was wondering if you's hang one on your wall and if so, which one would it be? 😏

If they live in cages than there pets, hehe. I know you probably meant caves 😜 An old ex of mine use to call bats devil birds. I don't like bats either.

Aquarius I like how the the subject matter is falling and it creates the bubbles. Perhaps that's my fish bait being lowered to the depths, haha

It's impressive, but following your account is like being subscribed to a contemporary art magazine!... I am speechless with these works that you show today... I have always been interested in digital art, because I take photos and sometimes I dare to alter them tried to "create something" but so far they are only small essays... But I'm looking at this and I'm really amazed... What fascinates me most is that they seem to have a very similar creative pattern but starting from deliciously diverse motives... I was amazed watching "Covidland" there is even a great three-dimensionality in that work...

I have nothing left but to once again applaud your excellent work and thank you for putting it within our reach!...

It's because of articles like this that I love being in #Hive!... This is something I probably wouldn't see anywhere else...

Thank you for the nice words Jesus, it means a lot to me! I'm also happy to read you appreciate this kind of art. Those of us who are here, are all into digital art as digital photography is also digital art, but what this artist did (altering digital photos) is a higher level.

I'm surprised as honestly, I didn't know you like this kind of art so much or art in general. I'm a huge fan and often post about art, all kinds of art as I photograph what's displayed, without picking or choosing. Not many can appreciate art these days, but there are quite a few on Hive, one is you of course.

Thanks again for the nice words, it's really motivating. Have a nice day my friend 😊

Hello again @erikah Friend!!! ;) For me it is a pleasure to appreciate the type of beautiful works like the ones you share and there is a story which explains why I like them so much...

My father was someone very "colorful" guy and apart from his profession as a telecommunications engineer, he was also a surveyor, boxer and amateur wrestler, he loved horse riding and motorcycles and also (and this is what is related to my taste for art) My father painted in oil, chalk and charcoal (he was not a "top" artist, he was rather average, it must be said he he he) but over time his bohemian character and particular taste for art meant that he was even required to judge in regional and national exhibitions. Dad also had many friends who were painters and sculptors. Dad was very knowledgeable and I still have with me a large number of books on art which belonged to him... So I grew up in that environment and often accompanied him to painting and sculpture exhibitions...

During my childhood and adolescence I tried to paint in oils, but I never had enough talent... However, I always liked to look at art... So you can say that I am a kind of "frustrated painter" ha ha ha :) ) ... So much so that I still frequently go to small local exhibitions and I have a lot of friends who are artists or related to art...

My passion for photography began in 2004 when due to work stress (I was a national IT manager in a fairly large corporation in my country) I ended up in depression and visiting psychologists... Among the things I started doing was taking photos and doing yoga, then my life began to change (for the better) irreversibly, but that's a long story... ;)

Photography became my catharsis and something through which I expressed myself... Then Dad (already very old) came to say: "You've finally found your way of painting damned boy" :)) he he he...

This year I made attempts to alter my photos digitally, but I don't think they were very good (that's almost like "painting" by hand and my talent isn't enough for that) he he he...

Here are some works that I dared to publish in #Hive, if you like you can look at them...

https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@jlinaresp/nova-and-i-made-this-with-plant-parts-i-assure-you-oror-eng-esp

https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@jlinaresp/digital-photo-transformation-dungeons

https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@jlinaresp/diptych-280123-digital-photo-transformation-oror-eng-esp

https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@jlinaresp/pleyades-abstraction-born-from-a-silly-photo-or-eng-esp

https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@jlinaresp/collision-the-crash-between-two-stars-photo-transfromation-oror-eng-esp

So I have to confess, seeing your post I thought: "Wow, that's something wonderful, I feel like altering my photographs again"... So I'll probably try it again! ;)) ... Thanks for that, by the way!... That's why I love #Hive, it's a "universe" where I find things I wouldn't see anywhere else!...

Oh dear, I've written too much!... I'm sorry, but "writing" is another thing I love to do... :(

I send a big hug and my best wishes to you and the people around you, thank you again @erikah friend!

What a story! I have no words honestly, but I'm glad you've found photography as a therapy. You're not the only one on Hive, who had health problems and photography helped them get better. It changes your life, I can testify that.

I'm really glad you liked these artworks as it's a special genre and not many can appreciate it. It's also good that it motivates you.

I hope you're feeling better now as what you've been through is not easy. Pressure at the workplace can destroy you if you are not making changes.

Thank you again for this nice comment and the links. This comment is bookmarked and I'm going to check each post out possibly next week as my weekend will be a bit crowded with events.

Have a nice weekend my friend and take care of your health. Looking forward to seeing your posts on Hive. A big hug from me 🤗

They looks cool and pretty, but I feel like they are a creature in an Aliens Movie. You know, those thing that will crawl onto you and will take over your body in a sec (≧▽≦). And out of all the art, my favorite was the Easy Rider, I dont know I can see Squidward on that one, is it just me? Lol. And the angry Squidward at that, lol

Easy Rider is a good choice :)

I think the initial image is barbed wires captured in 360 camera, then edited the vibrant colors making different perspectives. I thought I've seen a close up view of a blue butterfly and an insect, though. Or maybe I just thought so, it's all amazing.

This is my favorite. The digital art pieces are truly fascinating and evoke a range of emotions.

They are a little scary but they still have a color and shapes that attract attention, the Covid couple I think many of us want to forget, the one I liked the most is Crucifix because of the composition of the elements, a few days ago I also visited a digital art exhibition titled : COSMO and post some photos.
