No Title Today

Photographing a photograph is a strange concept, but also a lot of fun, especially when the original photograph is amazing. Today I'd like to show you the last batch of the photos I took about the photos rewarded at the International Hungarian Photo Salon of 2022. This was not the first photography exhibition I've been to, but most likely the best so far.

Delivery

We live in a digital era, where everyone has a cellphone in their pocket and can take any photo they like, any time. The internet is full of birds photos, Hive as well, but photos like the one above are rare. You may think this photo was taken by chance, but I doubt that.

Before I came to Hive, or the legacy chain to be precise, there was another platform, where I made a few friends, among which an British photographer, Steven, who was passionate about birds. One nice day he uploaded a series of photos about a nice little bird and told us that finally, after 3 weeks of getting up at 6 in the morning, to watch the bird, finally he was able to capture it. That means dedication at the highest level, especially in those weather conditions. So if anyone thinks capturing such a scene just by chance is easy, think again.

Awakening Autumn

Most likely a drone photo, but it's beautiful, regardless. Mother nature is the best artist and the mix of colors in this photo proves it.

20231018_114823a.jpg

Golden Spur

Have you ever seen such a photo? I haven't, bu it's brilliant in my opinion. The way the photographer focused on that golden leaf branch makes the photo photo unique.

The Ninetieth Page

As I said yesterday, you have to have a good eye, great imagination and a good sense of humor as well, to be able capture some amazing scenes. Let's play a game. Put aside the title and look at the photo. Would you have taken the shot? What does the scene mean to you? What does the scene tell you? It tells me quite a lot actually, but I don't want to influence you. Now after having a good look at the photo and thinking about what it tells you, please add the title to it, The Ninetieth Page. Now think again. What does the photo tell you? The ninetieth page in the book of life. It's brilliant.

My Mother's Chicken

Yesterday there was another photo with the same title that most of you liked. If you are curious about that photo, you can check it out here. That was a funny photo. This is a more serious one and the sepia tone makes it more old. Unlike the other, this was a staged photo, well put together. What you see on the photo means life. Fruits and vegetable grown by them, those few chickens that provide eggs and meat, some flowers that grow around the house, and the happiness on the lady's face, and gratitude for having all these in life. Simple things can make you happy.

Painter With The Chick

Another interesting one that makes you think of what you should focus on. The painter holding the chick? Or the artworks around him? Me, the art lover was drawn to the artwork next to the painter.

20231018_114917a.jpg

100 years

Photos like these are heartbreaking for me, when I think of the hard life these people had. Each wrinkle can tell a story they say and most likely the saying is true.

20231018_114934a.jpg

Roots

It's always nice to see people keeping tradition alive and some go back to their roots.

20231018_114949a.jpg

The Little Novice

This scene may look a bit strange in the digital era, where gadgets are ruling most of the kids' life, but unfortunately there are parts of the world, where this is how homework is done, in the company of the best friend. Happiness is a state of mind, not a place on earth.

20231018_114959a.jpg

Eve

Eve with an apple :) I love this.

20231018_115008a.jpg

Self-Destroying Humanity

Unfortunately this one has a meaningful message. It's another drone photo, capturing what most likely is a chapel, of which tower acts like a sundial. I don't know what that white thing is, most likely symbolizes pollution, but it looks like lace at same places.

20231018_115018a.jpg

Adorned With Bubbles

This photo got a silver.

20231018_115028(0)a.jpg

Nude (Snow)

20231018_115041a.jpg

Secure Connection

Looking at this photo in 2023 and reading the title, must make you smile. There were times when these poles meant secure connection, but now you can rarely find such poles, let alone use them for secure connections. Relics of the past?

Rounds

This photo won gold medal in the Pictures made with an archaic process category.

This is it for today ladies and gents. Let me know what you think, if you have a favorite :)

Bird photography, or nature photography in general, is painstakingly hard. Kudos to the photographers who have the patience for it. It can be incredibly frustrating too.
I think everyone has a photographer friend named Steven 😆

I love the little novice. Looking at it relaxes me. I'd probably add it to my collection if I was a photograph collector. So much innocence and purity in that picture.

It's funny that the title had to make it clear that it is snow. Nude(snow). Hah. Just calling it nude was a bit too risky? Hah.

So much innocence and purity in that picture.

You're absolutely right, carefree childhood and happiness.

As about the Nude (Snow), I made sure to respect the original title, and this was in English, so it was copy/paste :) Why the photographer decided to call the photo like that? Your guess is as good as mine. I would have called it simply Nude! Why not?

You are very right when you say that the internet is full of photos of birds but... The first one is epic 😍 I think that from time to time my perception of photography changes and I try to do different things such as:

"The Ninetieth Page"... These are very emotional bright scenes and black and white is even better. Scenes like this I would like to recreate but with me in the composition, sorry to my model 🤣 And that's what I'm still planning for the session made for you 🥰🙈

"The Little Novice" It's another masterpiece in my opinion, but I must say that I have a favorite photo and it is...

"100 years"

I'm not even going to use words to describe this photograph. I love it ❤️

Thank you for sharing this with us my dear @erikah, I loved your post so much that it has been inspiration for future photographic work.

I send you lots of kisses and I hope you had a nice day today 🤗😘📸🥰

That's really cool. I'm very curious to see what yours turns out to be like 😎 I'm sure it's going to be amazing.

Who would have thought that the "The Little Novice" will be so liked, you're not the only one mentioning it, but you're right, there's a lot of emotion in that one.

"100 years", I could have written a novel about this one, but I preferred to say very little and let the readers speak.

I loved your post so much that it has been inspiration for future photographic work.

This is really amazing to read. If these photos (I mean the original, not mine) can inspire someone, than it's a good day!

Thanks for the nice comment and wishes, I wish you a lovely day my friend 😘🤗

Those original ones indeed have a lot to say, you're right about that.

I like two I'm in between. The first is Eve, it just speaks forbidden fruit. The second is Nude (snow), seeing so many snow drifts they sometimes do resemble something kind of like clouds do.

Eve always means forbidden fruit and this lady has an apple in her hand :)
The Nude (snow) is an amazing one, imagine the chances of finding such a landscape.

I think to find shots like Nude takes many times going out. Plus you have to go into imagination mode. You can't go looking for one particular thing either.

Exactly, that's what I said in my post, that you have to see the opportunity and recognize it too. As I bet if you would have chosen a different angle, or capture a larger ares, the outcome would have been totally different. So it depends heavily on your ability as a photographer, to recognize what's in front of you and see the possibility :)

Absolutely sometimes you can get lucky by editing photos to get results but I think it's rare. You have to see first before capturing. Sometimes they are places you least expect. I can remember a tile in a bathroom floor that looked like a women holding a baby in the corner of it.

Gorgeous photos. I like the shot of the gallery. "Simple things can make you happy." I like the simple setting of the installation. Focuses on and more importantly doesn't distract from the photos.

Who would have thought you like the gallery :) It's basically the top floor of the building and it has an unconventional design, but it's perfect for a gallery.

The truth is that the title is not necessary. The first image says it all. Although all of them are excellent and with so much to say . Golden Spur, Nude (for me, that should have been the title), 100 year and The Little Novice are extraordinary. Thank you Erikah for sharing so much valuable content. Your posts are always enriching. Hugs 🤗

Sometimes beautiful things doesn't need titles, they talk for themself.

It's fascinating to see these photographs. Each image tells a unique story and captures moments that are truly special. Thank you for sharing them.
