El día sábado 25 de Diciembre fue mi segunda guardia como médico rural, y tuve la bendición de recibir al mundo a un bebe por primera vez como Médico. A pesar de que estaba asustada todo salió muy bien, con ayuda de todo mi equipo de guardia.

On Saturday December 25 was my second shift as a rural doctor, and I had the blessing of receiving a baby into the world for the first time as a Doctor. Even though I was scared, everything went very well, with the help of my entire guard team.

El primer día, quería renunciar, pero sin duda alguna este tipo de cosas te hacen reflexionar, y te dan fuerzas para seguir, buscando mejorar por y para tus pacientes. No hay palabras más bonitas que escuchar un " gracias Dra", o la sensación de saber que ayudaste a alguien, ya sea aliviando su dolor o acompañándolo en él.

The first day, I wanted to quit, but without a doubt this type of thing makes you reflect, and gives you strength to continue, seeking to improve by and for your patients. There are no more beautiful words than hearing a "thank you Dra", or the feeling of knowing that you helped someone, either by relieving their pain or accompanying them in it.

Y bueno, aquí está el resultado, una madre super feliz con su bebé en brazos. Mi hijo nosocomial, para esta ocasión fue un hermoso varón, quienes sus padres decidieron llamar Iam Thiago, pesó 2.700 y midió 53 cm, Apgar 8/9 al nacer y 9/9 a los 5 minutos posteriormente.

And well, here is the result, a super happy mother with her baby in her arms. My nosocomial son, for this occasion, was a beautiful male, whom his parents decided to call Iam Thiago, he weighed 2,700 and measured 53 cm, Apgar 8/9 at birth and 9/9 at 5 minutes later.

Fue una guardia bastante movida, pero a la misma vez relativamente tranquila, para ser un 25 de Diciembre, la próxima será en 30, es decir el Jueves, y espero que me vaya excelente como en esta ocasión.
