Saturated Spring Shots Nippon 📸

I’m a busy 🐝, for example these shots were taken at lunch during my main job and then after work before my part time job. At lunch during this spring period I actually have time to leave work and go out and have lunch. But, I actually bring my lunch which is usually an onigiri 🍙 ( rice ball) then when I’m done, I go for a walk with my camera in hand. Now, I do this for the HIVE but mostly because I really like photography; it’s relaxing, building a skill and something I can do while getting some steps in. A quadruple win.

The photo below was taken after my main gig/before the part time. I had some time to kill and thought I’d better make the best of it, so I stoped by this temple ( that’s more of a commercial temple) and was taking shots of the Torii ( red gate that signifies a holy place). As I was crouching taking photos of the Torii, a very うるさい(🇯🇵 urusai > 🇬🇧 noisy ) car was reversing coming towards me. A dude jumped out and started taking pictures of his car.

“Dude I was wondering what the hell you were doing!”

”Yeah, it’s kinda awkward parking here but I wanted to get these shots of my car.”

”Mind if I snap a few shots of your car 🚗 myself?”

”Sure, go ahead.”

And thus a Japanarefic photo came my way. Trust me, it’s not ever day you get a shot like this, I know I wouldn't be parking my Prius here to take snaps 😆 love my car though.

The following photos were taken in no particular order. For the sake of time I’ll give a short description of the shot and what I was trying to accomplish. All photos in this post are highly saturated as it makes the photos look more vibrant.

For this shot, I wanted to capture the sakura as well as the details of the Japanese shrine’s roof.

The photo of the shrine across the lake was one I have taken before. But it is not often I get to see it with the sakura in the background.

when I saw the Japanese flag pass the sakura, I thought what a good shot it could be, it was windy and hard to get the flag flying but continues snap did the trick. I only wish the sakura were more plush.

Here is that Torii gate with less saturation.

Here is the shrine from a different angle. I wanted to get the effects of climbing the stairs in this shot.

I am not a stalker 😆 but as I finished my walk I sat on a bench and saw this young lady taking photos of the sakura and thought hey, that’s a cute shot.

Grandma chilling after taking some sakura snaps herself.
I always like to see people enjoying the blossoms.

I was setting up the camera on a mini tripod in order to take a photo of myself but people kept passing by, I saw a mother and daughter walking by, I hesitated to get good shots and only snapped when they were at a distance. As they passed by I said hello ad told them I took a distant shot. They didn’t mind. Too much saturation on this one as well but I love ❤️ it.

More grandmas just enjoying life, you gotta love it. I like photos of people just being.

I was going for a symmetrically artistic shot that I have seen many pro photographers do. Didn’t come out bad, but I think I overfilled the saturation and hence the name of this post “Saturated Spring Nippon. Tanks for stopping by.
ありがとうございます!

Really picturesque.

The car is cute by the way and it was a great angle with the colorful background.

I am not a stalker 😆 but as I finished my walk I sat on a bench and saw this young lady taking photos of the sakura and thought hey, that’s a cute shot.

And her blue jumpsuit contrasted well with the pink of the Sakura.

I’m still trying to figure out what kind of car it is. It seems like a Mini Cooper lit on s Japanese car.

😂 you know I didn’t even realize that contrast until you mentioned it.

I think it's because of a "female" gaze 😅. We definitely look at more things than most men in our circle.
