Cappuccino Content Thoughts

Cappuccino and fungi, who would have thought that they would make an aesthetically pleasing combination. But through simple combinations we can be creative and let content flow from our everyday experiences. The trick about it is having that mindset to see the beauty in the moment and capture it without interrupting that actual moment.

At times I find leaning to the extremes of the spectrum; being too focused on the content or forgetting about the content all together. The middle ground, the sweet spot is what I realize I should find and writing this post is making me realize that.

Over the past couple of weeks there has been a tsunami of content I could have captured: Korean dining, Brazilian night clubbing, street food in Japan, sporting events, real estate and more. But at that moment my mind was not on content creation and that is ok. Not everything needs to be turned into content and in the days ahead I will be more conscious of finding the middle ground where I capture the moment and enjoy it as well.

And then there is the matter of:
“ is this content going to bring value to anyone”
“Will I enjoy the process of creating the content or am I only doing it to earn some magical internet money?

The truth is I have a lot of content in draft brewing but just haven’t got around to posting them. Lack of time is an excuse but it is a damn good one in my case. The truth is, I just don’t feel like it. I am tired from work, family life and other engagements I have been up to. I am grateful for the experiences but it does take its toll. Just last weekend I was in a tug of war tournament ( that could have been content for the Sports Community). We practiced 2- 3 times a week for an hour. We won and of course the victory party that ensued was full of drinks and food ( that could have been content for the foodie community or DashOut Sunday in Reggaejahm).

Like I get it when people say show up everyday and make a post but I am not at that place at this point in time. As I type this I am at work with a little free time before the “circus” begins. And there goes the “circus” bells. If I had the time If I had the vibe, I would be making way more content but you know what, I am content with the content I have been creating. I’ll ramp things up in time on my own time.

Oh the cappuccino? I had that after a meal at an Italian restaurant with my wife and youngest ( that meal could have been content too).

The only thing we can do is give ourselves some grace as we would've given to others you know, so be kind to yourself.

“ is this content going to bring value to anyone”
“Will I enjoy the process of creating the content or am I only doing it to earn some magical internet money?

These are two important questions we need to keep asking ourselves.

True dat. But sometimes we have those days. I guess this was one of em 😂.
Tek important questions indeed, and the answer is subjective in most cases.

...and the answer is subjective in most cases.

It is indeed, and we should respect what it means to every individual, because it will definitely differ from person to person.

it think is better of focusing in the process... if you enjoy the process then you will not be estresed about your content...

i enjoy this a lot that's why i post everyday

As in focus on the process while you are getting the content or creating here? I enjoy it as well but so much to be done outside of the digital. I will find my power zone though.

Your content must be useful. first of all to you and your family, one day, the children will read your posts and learn a lot of interesting things about their dad's life, which may have been left behind the scenes, it was not said, and ... do not get tired of family life, this is a great vacation, lol .

I like how you always put things into perspective. Documenting our lives is something we couldn't do so easily and yet many of us take it for granted. Hahaha, you are right, family is the vacation, and exhausting one at times but a full filling one.

This is interesting and I think we can all identify with your post in some at or another. Pacing ourselves is important eh. Sometimes we have the urge to create content and sometimes we are busy and find it difficult to spend quality time on the hive. 😆I have so many photos sitting in my phone, all taken because I thought they’d be good content, yet, they’ve never made it to a post. Sometimes I can’t even locate them. Lol!
Sometimes I see scenes that would make a good shot and post but you know,at times I want to just live in the moment and enjoy the experience. Whatever our pace, our style, our rhythm, let’s just be content with creating content when we can. Bless up.
