Hello my dear Hiver and the dear community of artists #HiveDiy, as always very pleased and excited to be here again, showing you my work made with love and especially for you.


For today I bring you a nice snowflake made in the quilling technique, very easy to make, which we can use to decorate the tree or any space in the house. Thinking that we already have this beautiful Christmas season to start, it is the right time to go ahead with the details to decorate our home, to give as a gift to that special person, or also for sale.


Beyond making this publication just a craft, I wanted to make it based on an inspiration for today's @talents initiative, which refers to our "Christmas Dreams", these years that have passed have been hard for many for various situations and this year has been no different.


In my case being away from my family has been quite difficult, almost all are scattered around the world and currently I have only my direct family, husband and daughter, in the city where I live, now that these Christmas holidays are coming it fills me with much nostalgia as I remember all those happy moments we spent together, uncles, cousins, brothers and we shared between dances, meals and laughter and it was not only on holidays, we also met to decorate the mother's house when my grandmother lived. Another custom was to travel to different parts of the country where some of my uncles and aunts lived and we took turns to spend Christmas every year sometimes in different places, these are moments that will always be kept in my heart and soul.


This year is even more difficult because I lived all my life with my mother and this year she also took another direction, in May she went to Canada to join my sister, to meet her grandson and the one who is about to arrive, and with her I used to make hallacas at home, we used to make crafts together to decorate parts of the house, But I have the satisfaction, even if it is full of nostalgia, that each of my relatives are alive and enjoying a better quality of life, that Christmas dream for me would be to meet again and it will always remain valid in time, because as long as we are alive and healthy, the time may come when it will happen again.


My other most cherished dream and it is a wish to share with everyone when it materializes, is that the situation of our beautiful country Venezuela 💛💙❤️ improves in every sense of the word, that we have a beautiful life fruit of our efforts, let's keep the conviction that this will come very soon.


My mother is currently in a place where it is snowing, and that is why I am inspired to make snowflakes as a symbol that at home will be those flakes that are falling on her cheeks in the place where she is.


I wish you all to fulfill your most cherished dreams and have a merry Christmas with the people you humbly find around you. Let's be happy.💕

Hola a mis queridos Hiver y a la querida comunidad de artistas #HiveDiy, como siempre muy complacida y emocionada de encontrarme por acá nuevamente, mostrándole mi trabajo hecho con mucho amor y especialmente para ustedes.


Para el día de hoy les traigo un bonito copo de nieve elaborado en la técnica de quilling, de muy sencilla elaboración, el cual podemos utilizar para decorar el arbolito o cual espacio de la casa. Pensando en que ya tenemos esta bonita temporada navideña por iniciar, es el momento preciso para ir adelantando los detalles para adornar nuestro hogar, para obsequiar a esa persona especial, o también para la venta.


Más allá de hacer esta publicación solo una manualidad, quise realizarla basada en una inspiración para la iniciativa de @talentos de hoy día, que se refiere a nuestros "Sueños de Navidad", estos años que han pasado han sido duros para muchos por diversas situaciones y este año no ha sido diferente.


En mi caso estar alejada de mi familia ha sido bastante difícil, casi todos están regados por el mundo y actualmente no tengo si no a mi familia directa esposo e hija, en la ciudad donde resido, ahora que vienen estas festividades navideñas me llena de mucha nostalgia ya que recuerdo todos esos momentos felices que pasábamos reunidos, tíos, primos, hermanos y compartíamos entre bailes, comidas y risas y no era solo en días festivos, también nos reuníamos a decorar la casa materna cuando vivía mi abuelita. Otra costumbre era viajar a diferentes puntos del país donde residían algunos de mis tíos y nos turnábamos para pasar las navidades cada año a veces en diferentes sitios, son momentos que siempre quedaran guardados en mi alma y corazón.


Este año es aún más difícil porque viví toda la vida con mi madre y ella este año también tomo otro rumbo, en mayo se fue a Canadá a reunirse con mi hermana, a conocer a su nieto y al que está por llegar, y con ella era que hacia hallacas en casa, hacíamos manualidades juntas para decorar partes de la casa, pero me queda la satisfacción así sea llena de nostalgia, que cada uno de mis familiares están con vida y disfrutando de una mayor calidad de vida, ese sueño de navidad para mi seria reencontrarnos y siempre permanecerá vigente en el tiempo, ya que mientras que estemos con vida y salud puede llegar el momento en que suceda de nuevo.


Mi otro sueño mas anhelado y es un deseo para compartir con todos cuando se materialice, es que la situación de nuestro hermoso país Venezuela 💛💙❤️ mejore en todos los sentidos de la palabra, que tengamos una bella vida fruto de nuestros esfuerzos, mantengamos la convicción de que ello llegara muy pronto.


Mi madre actualmente se encuentra en un sitio que en el que está nevando, y por ello eso me inspiro a realizar copos de nieve como símbolo de que en casa estarán esos copos que están cayendo en sus mejillas en el sitio donde se encuentra.


Les deseo a todos que cumplan sus sueños más anhelados y que pasen una feliz navidad con las personas que humildemente se encuentran alrededor. Seamos felices.💕


Por aquí les dejo una foto de mi mama disfrutando de la nieve y procedo a empezar con la manualidad que les quiero obsequiar.

Comencemos:😃

• Let's start by taking a piece of white quilling ribbon plus another silver 3mm wide x 28cms long and proceed to join both ribbons with a touch of glue to form a single ribbon.
  
  
• Once both ribbons are joined we will take the quilling needle and we will roll starting with the silver part until we reach the end of the white ribbon, we take it out of the needle and we will put it in the ruler with different measures of circumferences in measure number 14, we take it out of the ruler and we will seal it with white glue, this way we will obtain an open circle. As well as this circle we will need 6 to form the central piece of the snowflake, so we must repeat the process with 5 more ribbons joined with the same colors and the same measures. Once the 6 open circles are finished, we reserve.
  
  
• Now we are going to take a piece of white ribbon and another piece of silver ribbon of 3mm wide x 7cms long, we are going to make the same procedure as before joining both ribbons, we will roll in the quilling needle starting with the white ribbon and this time we will measure on the ruler on the circumference number 7, we take out of the ruler, seal with glue, to obtain an open circle, like this circle we will need 18 (we reserve).

• Vamos a comenzar tomando un trozo de cinta de quilling blanca más otra plateada de 3mm de ancho x 28cms de largo y procedemos a unir ambas cintas con un toque de pega para formar una sola.


• Una vez unidas ambas cintas tomaremos la aguja para quilling y enrollaremos comenzando por la parte plateada hasta llegar al final de la cinta blanca, sacamos de la aguja y meteremos en la regla con diversas medidas de circunferencias en la medida número 14, sacamos de la regla y sellaremos con pega blanca, de esta manera obtendremos un circulo abierto. Así como este círculo necesitaremos 6 para formar la pieza central del copo de nieve, así que debemos repetir el proceso con 5 cintas más unidas con los mismos colores y de las mismas medidas. Terminado los 6 círculos abiertos, reservamos.


• Ahora vamos a tomar un trozo de cinta blanca y otro de cinta plateada de 3mm de ancho x 7cms de largo, vamos a realizar el mismo procedimiento anterior uniendo ambas cintas, enrollaremos en la aguja para quilling comenzando por la cinta blanca y esta vez mediremos en la regla en la circunferencia número 7, sacamos de la regla, sellamos con pega, para obtener un circulo abierto, como este círculo necesitaremos 18 (reservamos).

• Once all the open circles are ready, let's proceed to mold them, let's start with the 6 large ones which we will pinch with the help of our fingers at one of their tips to form a kind of teardrop or drop, as you can see in the image.
  
  
• Let's go with the smaller circles, we will take 12 of them and mold them just like the big ones in the shape of a drop or teardrop, the remaining 6 we will pinch them with our fingers on the top and the bottom to mold them in the shape of a rhombus.
  
  
• Now we are going to form our snowflake, we will start assembling the central piece, we will take the 6 big pieces and we will join them with glue in a harmonious way forming a kind of flower, to make it easier we can join them 3 by 3, as shown in the image.
  
  
• Let's work the small pieces, from these we take two drops and a rhombus which we will join the 3 as I did with the central piece, but placing the rhombus in the middle. In this way we are going to join all the other remaining small pieces, to form 6 groups of 3 pieces together.
  
  
• Let's form our snowflake, we take the central piece and glue the groups of three small pieces, in the union of each petal with the other, you can see the process in the image to guide you better.

• Listos todos los círculos abiertos procedamos a moldearlos, comencemos con los 6 grandes los cuales pellizcaremos con la ayuda de los dedos en una de sus puntas para formar una especie de lagrima o gota, tal como lo pueden ver en la imagen.


• Vamos con los círculos más pequeños, tomaremos 12 de ellos y los moldearemos tal como los grandes en forma de gota o lagrima, los 6 restantes los vamos a pellizcar con los dedos en la parte de arriba y la de abajo para moldearlos en forma de rombo.


• Ahora vamos a formar nuestro copo de nieve, empezaremos armando la pieza central, tomaremos las 6 piezas grandes y las uniremos con pega de manera armoniosa formando una especie de flor, para que sea más fácil podemos unirlas de 3 en 3, tal como muestra la imagen.


• Trabajemos las piezas pequeñas, de estas tomamos dos gotas y un rombo los cuales uniremos las 3 así como lo hice con la pieza central, pero colocando el rombo en el medio. De esta manera vamos a unir todas las demás piezas pequeñas restantes, para formar 6 grupos de 3 piezas unidas.


• Formemos nuestro copo de nieve, tomamos la pieza central y pegaremos los grupos de tres piezas pequeñas, en la unión de cada pétalo con el otro, pueden ver el proceso en la imagen para que se guíen mejor.

• Let's decorate our flake, I had a glitter bracelet that is broken and stretched which I took advantage of, I took out one of its glitter and placed it in the central part of the flake, you can decorate it with whatever you want and have on hand either a pearl or some other detail.
  
  
• To give shine to the flake I put some frosted gel with a brush, then to protect and harden the piece I added several coats of extra strong white glue for carpentry in all its parts, letting it dry between coats.
  
  
• Finally we took a piece of nylon and placed it on the piece.
  
  
  In this way we have our beautiful snowflake ready to be used and decorate the place of our home that is more convenient, although for my taste a Christmas tree with several pieces of the combination that we like is totally beautiful, and the best thing is that we can do it in the colors of our preference, for this I made another snowflake of a different combination so you can see how it looks.✨

• Vamos a decorar nuestro copo, disponía de una pulsera de brillos que está rota y estirada la cual aproveche, le saque uno de sus brillos y lo coloque en la parte central del copo, ustedes pueden decorarlo con lo que deseen y tengan a la mano bien sea una perla o algún otro detalle.


• Para darle brillo al copo le coloqué un poco de gel escarchado con un pincel, luego para proteger y endurecer la pieza le añadí varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte de carpintería por todas sus partes, dejando secar entre capa y capa.


• Para finalizar tomamos un trozo de nylon y se lo colocamos a la pieza.

De esta manera tenemos nuestro hermoso copo de nieve listo, para ser utilizado y decorar el sitio de nuestro hogar que más conveniente sea, aunque para mi gusto un árbol de navidad con varias piezas de la combinación que más nos guste queda totalmente hermoso, y lo mejor es que podemos hacerlo de los colores de nuestra preferencia, por esto les realice otro copo de una combinación diferente para que vean como luce.✨
