Tioman Island 2026 刁曼島2026 #1

This is one of those time that we decided we need a get away, without even considering if the public holiday is going to rendered us stuck in heavy traffic.

有時候人就是這樣，突然間覺得需要 Getaway 出走一下，就頭腦發熱直接出發。完全沒有去考慮過，公共假期出門是不是會中大塞車塞到傻，妥妥的衝動派……

We have two of these local made sedans at home. One of them have lower power and manual transmission for efficiency. Luckily we picked the automatic transmission for this trip. Otherwise holding down the clutch pedal for 5 hours kind of chores is truly harsh for me.

我們家有兩架國產國寶車（Perodua Bezza）。一架是低馬力的手波（Manual），貪它省油；另一架是自動波（Auto）。還好這次出門有保佑，選了 Auto 那架。不然的話，要在車龍裡面踩足 5 個小時的 Clutch（極力子）…… 我看我這條老命一到半路就要報銷，那種 Chores（苦工）真的很折磨人。

We left home by around 7 after we had breakfast at one of our local mamak shop, and arrived at the Mersing jetty by almost 1 O clock.

早上 7 點多，在我們這裡的 Mamak 檔隨便吃個 Roti Canai 當早餐就出發，結果來到 Mersing（豐盛港）碼頭時，已經快要下午 1 點了。坐車坐到屁股要開花。

The jetty parking is totally full and therefore they arrange shuttle services to send us to one of the parking lot quite far away from the jetty.

假期出遊就是這樣的代價，碼頭的停車場直接 Full 到完，一輛車位都沒有。幸好主辦方有安排 Shuttle Service 接駁車，把我們載到一個遠到不懂在哪裡的臨時停車場，有得停已經要謝天謝地了。

Since the island is a duty free island, having need to inspect citizenship has become one of the crucial procedure.

因為這個島是免稅島（Duty-Free），所以檢查公民身份就變成一個很重要的 Procedure（程序）。排隊看 IC 和護照是逃不掉的。

Despite it took a long time queuing up at the jetty, but the officers are very helpful and being very efficient to handle all the passengers. From here we saw one of the boat arrived at the jetty and passengers disembark from the boat.

雖然在碼頭排隊排到很累，但那些 Officer（官員）還是很 Helpful 的，做工也很有 Efficiency（效率），很快就把那麼多遊客 Settled 掉。站在這裡等的時候，剛好看到一艘船到岸，那些乘客下船的畫面，熱鬧到好像難民營開飯。

Royal customs office is situated right at the jetty exists, so if passengers bought any duty free items from the island, it's best to declare first. If it's taxable, better pay it off than breaking the laws.

皇家海關（Customs）的 Office 就建在碼頭出口的 Right Side。拉叔溫馨提示：如果你們在島上買了什麼免稅的東西，最好是乖乖去 Declare（申報）。如果要中抽稅，就還錢啦，奉公守法好過犯法，等下中到重罰就不划算。

Cata 1903 is our ship and finally we get to board the ship. Since the seats are numbered, so we're not too worry if our seats will be taken even if we queued at the back.

「Cata 1903」就是我們這次坐的船，終於可以 Boarding 上船了。還好這裡的座位是有 Number 的，所以就算排隊排在最後面也不用怕 Seat 被別人坐掉，不用像平時那樣去搶。

It was a twin isle passenger ferry. It feels like riding on a giant airplane. I haven't got a chance to ride in a 747, but I guess that's how 747 passenger jet design was.

這是一艘有兩條通道（Twin Aisle）的大型客輪，坐在裡面那個 Feel，真的很像在坐那種 Giant（巨大）的大飛機。雖然拉叔這輩子還沒有機會坐過真正的 747，但我猜 747 的 Cabin 設計大概也就是這個 Layout 吧。

The passenger cabin also contain overhead storage compartment, which conveniently stored our standard size luggage.

船艙頭頂也是有那種 Overhead Storage（行李艙），很方便，剛好可以把我們 Standard Size 的行李箱塞進去，不用塞在腳下頂着頂着。

After suffering for another 2 hours of boat ride, finally we arrived at the Tioman island and we disembark at the Detik Jetty. We thought that was over but then...

在船上又受罪了差不多 2 個小時，終於來到 Tioman Island（刁曼島）了。我們在 Detik 碼頭下船，本來以為受難記已經 Ending 了，結果哪裡知道……

It took us another 30 minutes off road in a 4 wheel drive Hilux 😂 that finally sent us to Kampung Juara. Juara in Malaysia means Champion, Kampung means Village. So this place is Champion Village.

我們還要坐另外 30 分鐘的 Off-road 越野路！坐那種 4 Wheel 的 Hilux 四驅車 😂，一路上震到我的五臟六腑都要移位，才終於把我們送到「Kampung Juara」。Juara 在馬來文是「冠軍」的意思，Kampung 是「村」，所以這裡就是「冠軍村」咯。

Barat beach resort is as it's name suggested this part of the habour is situated at the east side of the island, which means we are facing South China sea.

這次住 Barat Beach Resort。雖然它的名字叫 Barat（西），但其實這個海港是位於島的 East Side（東邊），也就是說，我們開窗面對的就是南中國海。

I am a part time aviation geek, so I really enjoy seeing the blue sky being pierced by a bright contrail.

​我自己算是半個 Aviation Geek（航空迷），所以看到藍藍的天空被一條亮亮的飛機雲（Contrail）狠狠刺穿，那個心靈真的很 Enjoy、很治癒。

Beach sand is clean, however this part of the beach being cleaned and heavily polluted by human. So, not much of sea creature activity we can see from here.

沙灘的沙是蠻乾淨的，不過這一區已經被開發了，多多少少被人類活動「重度污染」到。在海邊看過去，基本上沒什麼海洋生物活動的跡象，大自然還是不夠遊客來。

This is one of those activity available, kayaking. This two kids is happily grinding through and shouting towards their friends at the sandy beach.

這裡也是有提供一些 Activity，比如划獨木舟（Kayaking）。看這兩個小孩子一槳一槳在那邊死撐，還一邊對着沙灘上的朋友大喊大叫，年輕真的有活力，拉叔看到我的腰都有點酸。

I picked up one of the sea shell and thought it was beautiful. I am not sure if I want to bring it back to Kuala Lumpur. We are still in the arriving day, for the next 3 days I am not sure if I'm gonna love this place or not.

在沙灘撿到一個蠻漂亮的貝殼，在想着要不要帶回吉隆坡。不過今天才第一天到步，接下來的 3 天，我到底會不會愛上這個地方，我自己都還不知道。

Towards the end of this side of the habour was a shack that looks quite modern. From what I see it, this is not one of those commercial accommodation. It has post box, this is probably one of those private holiday House or "safe house" just like those police movie.

走到海港的盡頭，有一間看起來蠻 Modern（現代）的小木屋。看它的樣子，又不像是那種給遊客住的 Commercial 住宿。門口居然有 Post Box（郵箱），我猜這不是人家的 Private Holiday House（私人度假屋），就是那種警匪片裡面主角用來躲避的「Safe House」（安全屋）。

Sun is setting behind the hills, which means we will be able to see the sunrise from the sea the next day. So we went back to the resort for a quick shower and getting ready for dinner.​

夕陽已經落到山後面去了。既然黃昏在山那邊，那就代表明天早上我們一定可以在海那邊看到日出。不講那麼多，先回 Resort 沖涼洗掉一身汗，準備去吃晚餐咯！
