The anniversary 2022 #For

It was a spelling mistake on purpose. The number between 3 and 5 is not a good number for the Chinese and believe it applies to Indian as well. Let's get in with it, installation no. For.

After the heavy breakfast and a serious water splashing symphony at the throne, we took a slow drive of 30 minutes to get there at the Teluk Cempedak.

Teluk is bay, Cempedak is a type of breadfruit. It's literally meaning Chempedak Bay, also known as Palm Beach, is one of the most famous beach in Kuantan. 5km east from the town center.

Many years ago, we did came to visit Kuantan once, but it was the wife's then employee treat, so the two families stuck almost all the time within the hotel compound. Despite the hotel situated at the same row of beach, we never did came to this part of the beach.

The first impression was, the water being so clear compare to what we had in the straits of Malacca. Since this side of the coast facing the South China sea, therefore the waive is quite rough as well.

Don't get fooled by the green grass are, those were actually artificial grass being lay on top of the sand so it keep the shore line there.

Sand is fine and clean, and people are enjoying an early morning low tide fun by the beach. We know what exactly we signed up for, since it's officially school holiday. We've not preparing any swimming gear for 2 reasons, one being I can't swim 🤣 another being, worrying the crowd due to holiday. But it proves we're wrong!

I'm not a monkey guy, but I've seen enough stray monkey in my life considering I often go to hike. Make sure to have spare glasses, hold children tight, avoid direct contact, and even eye contact.

Notice those little rascals have a paper cup on each of them? They snatch ice cream from tourists 🤣 if you're truly wanting to give them a banana, just leave it there and let them take it. They're not dogs, and you think handing over food hand to hand is cool, they might felt threaten and go all over your face!

And then we started to hop on a trail(more like a bridge), going along the coast line heading to the other beach. Along the way we saw this monitor lizard all by its own at the seaside, probably searching for food.

As we arrived at the other side of the beach, I'm glad there's not many people around. I enjoyed every moment here, spending time listening to the sea... And worrying about the god damn job. Half way there started to regret, should have bring along at least some shorts and sandals, at least I can have a sea water spa for my feet!

As I walk by the beach, I curiously look into a huge piece of black colour rock and wondering how it shaped so round, and I've got the answer as soon as I get closer.

This side of the beach used to have some charade for rental, but I believe it was abandoned during the covid lockdowns. The other sad truth being, it's not easily accessible as we Malaysian prefer to drive directly to the destination. Give us any chance, we'd like to drive directly to the pool side, open the car door and jump into a swimming pool. I'm not saying all Malaysian, I'm just saying most of us have this kind of mentality, which is why the famous traffic jam in such a low population country.

Looking at the far site in the photo, the red roof buildings, that's where the entrance to the Chempedak bay. We spent about an hour here and decided it was about time to walk back to the Chempedak bay to grab a cup of coffee.

According to the internet, this Starbucks is a must visit due to the restaurant situated right next to the beach sand. Yes, it is that near! You can see the sea front he back of home minister, there's a door, open the door and you can jump into the sand.

One thing I would like to highlight, home minister was actually hoping to use their bathroom, but was told they don't have the facility. To me, that is a huge discount to the restaurant review. We're instructed to go to the nearest public toilet. If Starbucks ever wanted to hear customer feedback, I'd like to ask if their employee need to walk across and use the public toilet?

Anyway, am "quickly enjoying" the drink before home minister pee her pants, saw this cat sitting comfortably behind the door. Not sure what do you think, but this little guy looks exactly like a tiger. I do know tiger is actually from the cat family, but the size of her head and the proportion somehow make it looks extraordinary.

Across the motor lane from Starbucks is actually McDonald's. Should have just sit there and enjoy a McDonald's ice cream whilst waiting for home minister take a leak. Will be so much cheaper and she still gotta pee. I was thinking to ask her use McDonald's bathroom, but she refused. So we decided to go search for lunch instead.

I feel how your home minister feels. The first thing I do any where I go is to scan the area for a toilet. No toilet no linger. That is one huge Lizard. If it were fatter I'd think Komodo dragon.

I realize I could google it, but that's what engagement is for right? What is the significance of number 4 being bad luck in Indian/Chinese superstition? I think I've heard before years ago, but I must've forgotten. 13 is a bad luck number in many western countries, some hotels avoid a 13th floor, but I have no idea the history behind this.

Those monkeys may be small, but you're right, they're unpredictable at tourist spots, often view us as targets. I've had fruit stolen out of the front of my moto basket more than once. I see your name on the cup, reminds me of when I visit coffeeshops in the USA where they need your name for the cup, I always make up a name to amuse myself.

Starbucks sells products that make you pee instantly, but no bathroom for customers, doesn't seem a good long term idea for success in that area. I would assume there are some stinky trees and alleys nearby from coffee-induced pee-pees 🙁.

4 in Chinese rhymes with Die. However, 13 is survivable 🤣

The name on the cup thing, the latest version of Malaysia being, they purposely make wrong names in order to make customers remember them. Keep coming back to "educate" the staff of their real name. They will never get it why am I not correcting them, because when they asked my name, I told them I'm Danny instead 🤣🤣🤣 and it never failed to fail, always gave me David.

As for the no bathroom situation, it's actually a tactic to shoo their customers out so they don't sit there with their laptop and work for hours. Remember I told you get a Starbucks and use it as your office? That's what our local Malaysian expect to do. Many of these franchise couldn't make serious money because they only turn around their table roughly 3 times a day, each time close to 4 hours 🤣🤣🤣 and home minister is a good example. We could have hangout there for couple of hours, enjoying the air-conditioning, editing tik-tok videos if she managed to get to use the toilet.
