Tet Chinese Lunar New Year

Anyway, every lunar new year, the greatest fear is the travel, and following by finding food.

Just like everyone, we execute the great exodus everytime when come to the lunar new year festive season. Traffic was NEVER easy all these years. When I was younger, I would rather wake up 3am in the morning to beat the traffic. However, now that I'm older, and my family average age is way bigger, we can't really afford to drive at late night no more, bad traffic jam is inevitable.

After hours of suffering from the heavy traffic, finally came to my home town ipoh. We found one of the YouTube suggested food place, my older kid wanted matcha latte, so she got it.

The boy loves chocolate as always. I also like chocolate, but with my current condition, I'd stick to less "creamy" stuff, hopefully I can live a little longer.

Home minister ordered a latte. It's kinda epic when we take local roast coffee bean, stuff them into espresso machine an squeenze a cup of barista Stylo coffee.

Due to the cheap local coffee bean(they claimed to be arabica), I got myself the once in a life time less than a dollar iced Americano 🤣 this totally reminded me like the taste my dad adored. When I was a kid, I have always wondering what kinda cola my dad was drinking, until there's one time I took a sip, and from there on, I'm addicted. This is that kind of Americano that will bring me back to half a century ago.

Junior was not too hungry, so he ordered a set of egg toast. The toast bread is toasted with, not butter, we toast margarine 😅 and then topped it with a pair of half boiled eggs. Take note that we love runnie eggs.

I've got myself a plate of vermicelli mixed with noodles and two pieces of sengkuang tofu skin cut out. I'm ok with the sengkuang, but not so much about the noodles though.

Other than the coffee, rest of the stuff are... How should I put it? So so. Not the best, probably not better than how I remember it from the viral video. That's probably because it was viraled, it's hard to maintain the same standard when people are pouring in. So, I conclude today's post here, and my lunar new year celebration haven't even begin yet.
