Replacing the broken tail lamp

For every new car, there will be one day it become old. Mine started with a small accident when a motorbike hit my car at the back, broke the right tail lamp cover.

I did thought of buying an original tail lamp, sending the car back to the manufacture, but then that will cost me a fortune.

Naturally, finding alternative become the next best thing I can do. I have managed to find a replacement model for the car. Shipping took a few days, but it arrived safely, at about ⅓ of the price from the original tail lamp.

KT is one of the famous car part manufacturer for budget replacement. I used to buy a lot from this manufacturer previously when I own some of the older model cars.

Product came with full bubble wrap and kitchen wrapper. Very thoughtful of the seller, even the box is in perfect shape.

The right was the original tail lamp cover. As you can see from the chassis, theres warranty stickers, imprint copyright article, which the left doesn't. Do note that the cover was broken for almost a week, there's possible rain water stuck in it. I wasn't aware of it when I took out the lamp cover and wet my pants when I took out the bulbs 😅

After transferring all the bulbs, I set the lamp casing back in place without properly securing all the bolts into it first. In case anything goes wrong, I can still replace it or return the shipment.

I noticed the reflector strip doesn't seems to emit enough lighting, so I compare it with the original tail lamp from the left side. Isn't it obvious?

From here, you can see the difference, especially after I have fully align it and attach the bolt and wiring in place. The cheaper replacement tail lamp does shows the lack of lighting. I know I know, I should have just spend enough to buy a factory made original tail lamp. Since I have bought it, might as well settled with it.
