Throw back boxing day

One of the most unnecessary gesture in Christmas being sending gift. I totally get it, it's a tradition, but it's also rather overly commercialised activity.

Imagine, when you're a guy, received a dead skin scrubber, what are you going to use it for? Most probably forgotten and rewrap it next year and gift to someone else.

It happened to me once, I bought a Starbucks flask for the office gift exchange. I did thought of buying something more generic so both sex individual able to use it. After 2 cycle of Christmas, I got my own gift back 😂 I know that's the one I bought because I usually leave the receipts IN the box for warranty purpose. This one has my credit card first and last 4 digits 😂 and was purchased 3 years ago.

I'm not really complaining just because I like to complain, but am also open to suggestion. How do you maintain this kind of cultural thing, or more like festival gifting activity? How do you make sure someone like your gift and they do NEED it?

Frankly, over the years, I've never been receiving anything I really needed. When I was younger, I wished for Nintendo so badly, and never got it until I smash my own piggie bank. On my 18 year old, you know one of those thing being trying to have sex with a college girl, soon as I got into her bed, her two other roommate also crashed in and snoring pretty darn loud 😂

After many years together with home minister, we have a mutual agreement of not BUYING gift for each others. It will most likely being buying lunch or dinner, have a wonderful Christmas meal and celebrate it, and guess who is paying 🤣

Ok that's probably a wrap, for the wonderful boxing event. Also, who named it boxing day? It's the day after Christmas, people gethered and unbox their Christmas gift "Throphy". isn't it supposed to UNboxing day?

  1. 711 across my office finally reopened during Christmas, and this is after many years operation, finally they got a refresh new cafe look.
  2. Now, they not only serve instant noodle and hot water, but it's a full range cafe when you can hear up pre-pack food.
  3. I'm not sure is it my tongue or placebo, this cheap bottled hazelnut coffee tasted pretty darn amazing. Considering this coffee cost ¼ of Starbucks Latte.
  4. This is the amount of gift our fellow colleagues prepared for each others.
  5. Pufeit that doesn't look that good, actually tasted so much better than how it looks.
  6. a colleague home made stuff tofu. Not that I don't like it, I just wanted to say it tasted quite... how do I put... unique.
  7. The fried dumpling, however, become the highlight of the day.
  8. The mini croissant is not too bad, it's a little too hard for my teeth. Think it will taste much better if we can throw them into a toaster to hear it up and make it crispy again.
  9. Finally the egg tart was a little too sweet. The colouring, seriously too yellow.

Well then, I just wanted to say, hope everyone are happy with the gift they received.

I would love to see a proper croissant here, but they aren't common at Cambodian bakeries. I am thinking the missus and I need to work out a similar gift-giving agreement.
