Hello everyone and to all my fellow hivers, friends, and followers How are you this fine Saturday, Happy weekend , I hope you are all doing fine and healthy especially to the travel lovers of @worldmappin Community, its been a while since my last post here hehe its me again @clarabels and for todays blog I am thrilled to share with you all my unforgettable experience with my husband visiting the famous Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills Subdivision, Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines.
Today, my husband and I decided to rent a motorbike so we could explore as much of Cebu City as possible, since we are currently staying here. We asked the caretaker of our accommodation for good places to visit, and they suggested going to the Taoist Temple. Since we didn't know the way to the Taoist Temple, we used Google Maps to make our journey easier. We travelled 6 kilometers from Cebu city to Taoist temple just 6 minutes ride. When we arrived at the Taoist Temple gate, the best part was that there was no entrance fee and you could freely enter the premises and explore the place.

as soon as we entered the gate I was amazed at what we saw. the tour guide also introduce its history.
Taoist temple was built in 1972 by the Cebu-Chinese Community, it welcomes both guest visitors and worshipers following the teachings of Lao Zi. It featured multi tiered pagoda design, and dragon statues for protection, it also replicates the great wall of china that has eighty one steps leading to the main hall representing the chapters of Taoist Scriptures Tao Te Ching.

We were a bit winded as we climbed the stairs, but we pushed through to see the beautiful scenery. Along the way, we also met visitors who were struggling to climb the stairs but we're all happyto be visiting the place.

While we were making our way up, we stopped briefly at a shed to rest from the heat, and I also took pictures of the scenery.

When we reached the top of the Taoist Temple, we saw the multi-tiered golden pagoda and the temple itself, along with dragon statues. inside, there is a large aquarium filled with huge koi fish. Based on my experience, the place has a wonderful ambiance and beautiful scenery plus, it’s free, so you don’t have to pay anything. Of course, the travel experience is even better when you're with your family or special someone❤️ hehe.
