Sacrifice and hardship in raising corn has paid off

Hello everyone, I would like to convey to the whole world my greetings to you for a good day.

I would like to share with you our corn harvest in our small corn field. Within 120 days of waiting, this is the harvest day that we farmers have been waiting for the most. It was not easy for us farmers in the beginning because preparing the land for a product like corn is really difficult. We need to give our whole heart to farming. You know the feeling that even though you are tired and worried because there is a sign of heavy rain that can cause damage to the crop but still happy because I can see that the product is getting better especially the day the corn sprouts and passes for a few days, weeks and months it grows well, fat, healthy and flourishes too much. And as a farmers, we have to learn to accept defeat because not all harvests are happy, sometimes it's just right and sometimes we lose. But for me, whether the harvest is bad or abundant, it does not mean that we will stop farming.

And before we harvest, we invited everyone who wants to help.

So today we started early to avoid the heat of the sun but we were still exposed to the sun because it took us a long time to finish.

And also rested a bit and looked who's coming hehehehe my mother brought us snack bread, juice and water. But despite the hot weather, we ignored it because we were happy while harvesting corn. We are excited to finish because we want to know if we can make up for the hard work and expense we spent.

After the harvest, a percentage was given to the planter and the harvester and a bonus was also given. And the remaining corn is ours and we were surprised because the hardships of several months on the farm yielded more than I expected. And we immediately fetched it and put it in the small hut so that if it rained it wouldn't get wet. As a farmer I am proud and happy because all the sweat that dripped has paid off.

That's all for today and I hope you like what I shared today. Thank you and see in my next post.

Have a nice day❤️❤️❤️

Libre na din sa bigas yung ganyan sis. Namiss ko talaga yung kanin nyan. Ilang years na din na hindi ako nakakain ng mais kasi rice kami palagi.

Nakakamiss talaga yung ganito eh. Soon, pag balik probinsya na kami, magtatanim kami ulit ng ganyan.

Hello @ruffatotmeee , thank you so much friend.. We do not sell the corn, we will grind it in the corn and rice mill in our nearest town to make it rice and we will not be able to buy rice for several months. ☺️☺️☺️ Have a nice day.

Indeed hardship pays fruits of success I did also experience how to plant and process corn in feeding mills, haha, that's one of the best experiences thou it was kind of irritating for it has this itchy kind of dust, having no protection in the skin can causes rashes and unending scratches if wasn't that common and familiar.

Woah, I am also looking forward to the maize harvest here in Luzon, hoping that I could use the maize husk for some feeding for my animals haha.

Yes, it's really itchy so you have to wear a jacket and long pants to avoid itchiness. And I was there in Luzon, unfortunately I didn't see a corn plant yet. Thank you and have a nice day.

My late grandparents were farmers/paddy planters. Being born and bred in an urban area, I knew nothing about farming. The landscape of your farm with the coconut trees in the distance resembles my mom's village.
