Art Journal: "The Highland Lake" | Original Coffee Painting ☕🖌️

Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blessed Sunday everyone. Welcome to my art blog! In this post, I painted a captivating view of The Highland Lake made coffee powder.

The Highland Lake is a type of lake found in elevated or mountainous areas. It is depicted by its higher peak and picturesque surroundings. They are known for their flawless beauty and clear waters. They also often have a peaceful atmosphere and captivating sight.

I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me an hour to finish this piece.
For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
👉 Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
👉 Pencil and Eraser
👉 Coffee Powder
👉 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
👉 Ruler
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
👉 Filbert brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch of your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
• On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
• The same procedure with the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.

Painting Process:

It looks so good... at it might smell as good, too! I've always wanted to try doing this kind of painting, but maybe when I'm much better at adding details. :D

It doesn't look at all that you have made it from coffee powder because it looks very beautiful and no one can tell. In this you have made such a beautiful painting using coffee powder.

Wow @caydenshan! That is really impressive art you made there! When you said that this masterpiece only took you one hour, I was in shock. If I tried to make that, it would have taken me days!! Keep up the good work @caydenshan.
