Battling Hræzlyr, my first dragon boss in God of War.

I'm going to show some special moments from my God of War play in this post where I'll show and talk about me fighting this epic boss Hræzlyr is a dragon boss of God of War and this is the biggest boss fight I've fought in God of War till then.

God of War ²⁰¹⁸ was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and released worldwide for windows at January 14 2022. It's an action-adventure video game.

As a kid when I used to see gameplays of Kratos slaughtering big dragons in old God of War games, I always thought how does he slaughter dragons and now I got the chance to do it myself and I see the Gaming Photography community has announced their new weekly contest with epic boss scene theme which looks like announced especially for me as I was saying in my last post that I'd show my fight with this boss soon.

After we came out of the cave, we noticed the dragon was targeting someone and its Sindri, the dwarf brother of Brok.

Atreus was asking Kratos if he can kill something that big and Kratos replied that he can if they catch the dragon off balance.

Atreus as about to run towards Sindri to help him without a plan so Kratos stopped him and then asked him to wait for his signal after finding a good angle so Atreus started running towards Sindri now when I as Kratos, started running towards the boss.

At first I tried to attack the dragon using my axe but it didn't do anything at all so I chose the option that let Kratos jump on the dragon and he did a great entry in front of the boss and landed on the rock where Sindri and Atreus was waiting for him.

I knew this dragon can through flame from its mouth but I didn't know it had the power as a vacuum cleaner as well which was pulling them towards its mouth so Kratos jumped and went inside its mouth.

I was attacking on its tongue and upper jaw using the jaw and then Kratos jumped out of its mouth.

Then I had an intense fight with the boss that I couldn't even take screenshots from that moment as I was so into this moment.

There were shatter crystals that I had to throw towards the dragon when it was electrified which was draining its health and the boss fell on the ground when it didn't even lose one of fourth health. No, it didn't give up yet.

When I kept stabbing on its face using the axe which was draining its health, it suddenly got conscious and it became more furious after this and it was attacking me with more and stronger powers.

This time I had to deal damage to its claws to provoke his electric attacks as he was keeping his claws on the ground for sometimes after he was doing some electric attacks.

Now after draining more than half of its blood, it attacked on the place where Atreus was hiding and Kratos noticed something chained there that could be used to finish off the boss so I commanded Atreus to release the chain and Kratos did an cinematic ending for the dragon.

When the epic boss was long gone now, Sindri came out from hiding and gifted some special arrows to Atreus. These are braided mistletoe arrows that's straighter than Heimdall and perfectly weighted.

After some drama, Sindri asked Kratos to get him a tooth of that dragon when Kratos said he didn't have time for the drama.

Then Kratos went close to the dragon and it's mouth was already opened, I just swinged the Leviathan Axe for a single time that took out a tooth of that dragon and Kratos gave it to Sindri.

Sindri did something on the tooth like a magic without even touching it and Kratos was holding it and asked Kratos to run that tooth along the string of Atreus's bow which gave Atreus to shoot shock arrows at Shatter Crystals to destroy nearby World Tree Sap obstacles.

We were leaving that place towards our next destination and I stopped there to have a look on the epic boss once more when it was long gone and dead.

Who knows what was waiting for us on the way forward? We'll check that in another post.

Btw, I used to read posts of @allama in hive gaming about this game and was doing great so I guess he'll like to join this contest if he is still playing this game or maybe just have some cool boss fight screenshots stored somewhere.
