Three Tune Tuesday #36 | Instrumental Music | Caixa de Pandora - a portuguese band
Greetings fellow Musical Hivers 🎼
Hi there! Here we are at week 36 of Three Tune Tuesday or #ttt 😁 and today, dear reader, I'll be taking inspiration from @ablaze by also sharing instrumental songs, as I agree with him. I think when there are no words and you can just simply let the melodies, tunes and rhythms talk right through you, it can be really powerful and awaken different feelings amongst people. If you follow my posts, dear reader, you know I'm a big fan of exploring and sharing feelings 💜
👁🗨 You can read @ablaze's #ttt post by clicking here 👁🗨
I'll be also taking some inspiration from @blanchy this week by also going back to my roots! So, this time I'll be sharing some instrumental songs by a portuguese band 😁 As languague won't be a problem for understanding purposes I really hope you like it!

Ready, dear reader? Let's go!
Three Tune Tuesday 🎹
For those of you who don't know, Three Tune Tuesday was created by @ablaze and as he explains 👇
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning a prize.
So with that being said, all my 3 song recommendation this week will be from a triplet portuguese band, named Caixa de Pandora (Pandora's Box for translation). The amazing artists behind this melodies are Rui Filipe, Cindy Gonçalves and Sandra Martins. 🤗
I'm not really sure, but I think I saw them live somewhere on a viewpoint in Lisbon, called Miradouro do Adamastor 🤔. At the time, I just thought it must be a group of friends coming together to do a little jam session and WOW, magic happend dear reader! I think you can see in this photo 👇 the energy of that day 😍

P.S: I took a 2h break to find this photo from 2017. As nostalgia filled me I went by some old photos and videos and got lost in the past for a brief moment (note to self - I miss concerts so much 😭) I found videos from concerts like Alt-J, Muse and a summer festival called O Sol da Caparica. Such good memories to remember 😁
Here's another photo from the day I found out about Caixa de Pandora

This day I was mesmerized by the cadence of melodies and liked it so much that I researched it and listened non-stop for a while! This was a few years ago and now, as I listen to them again, I love them all and I'm having a difficult time choosing only 3 😭 😱.
However, it must be done, and all songs will be from their album Teias de Seda. They have more songs with lyrics but if I'm not mistaken this is the only album with instrumental music only. So if you like instrumental music I strongly advise you to check all of it! It's really something worthy in my point of view 😊
Lastly, I'm feeling it's time to bring back my exercise proposal with the intention to drive more interaction with my posts around music, with a bit more fun and an unique way to connect with music and our individual emotions 🤗. As I believe it reaches its full potential when listening to instrumental or more emotional music if you will.
Dear reader, if you don't feel like doing this, as I know it can be time consuming, that's ok! Just take this free exit card 🃏 and skip this part, straight to "My 3 song recommendation" part 😊 I hope you like the music I share there 🤞
Exercise Proposal 🧘♀️
I propose the following exercise for the fellow hivers that want to explore the more emotional side of this post. I will give some suggestions to leave you in a more relaxed state and clear mind. We will be doing this through some breathing exercises and relaxation technique I learned in my profession.
Dear reader, as this are unstructured exercises and I'm not there with you, they don't have a specific order. The main purpose is that you feel relaxed and calm. I believe it will help if you do them all in order, but feel free to do only the steps you feel comfortable.
Proceed to the following steps:
Find a comfortable position (sitting/lying on the floor). Place some pillows/blankets, if necessary, to make sure you're body can relax and you are warm.
Close your eyes if you feel comfortable. If not, fix your gaze on a point in front of you.
Start noticing your breathing. How it feels, the air going in and out, the movement of the ribs. Let the air fill your lungs fully, and gently exhale completely.
Slowly begin to deepen your breathing. Do about 8 ou 10 respiratory cycles.
Listen to the music.
Write down what emotions you felt (any you can name or identify).
Repeat for each song from step 1.
My 3 song recommendation 🎧
Dear reader, are you ready? Breathe. Listen. 🎧
1- [In] Pressão
This music just sums up perfectly my mood this last week. Started off really nice and calm to a rising anxiety and confrontation... Then soften a little bit with some conclusions. Then again too much going on and the feeling of going around in circles. I feel there's a real pressure in this melodies.
How much pressure have you been feeling lately in your daily life, dear reader?
I wonder if maybe that will have an impact in how we perceive and integrate this melodic experience... Feel free to share with me any feelings this music has awaken in you and/or your level of anxiety/worrying as I would love to reflect on that with you.
2- Solstício de Inverno
This song has something strangely familiar to me and I don't know why. Just makes me think of home, in cold winter days by the fire drinking some hot beverage. Maybe there's some rain or snow outside and I'm just contemplating the sky and mountains. Brings me inner calm and a slow pace mood. Like everything will fall into place eventually.
3- Meio Fado
Uhhh!! This one, dear reader, just makes me want to move! Slowly and with power. A bit tango like I believe. It makes me feel a bit pretentious and very sure of myself. Confidence is the best word I would give to describe this music.

Final considerations 🙌
That's it for me on the 36 week of #ttt 😆 I really hope you liked it and leave here with the feeling of that last song. Confident and sure of yourself. Even though there are ups and downs in life I always like to remember myself in the darkest times that - what I'm feeling right now won't last forever.
What about you dear reader? Did you adventured in my exercise proposal? What were your thoughts? Did you feel it helped to connect with the music? Did you like the songs or had a favourite?
I can't wait to read all of your opinions 😁
See ya on the next Three Tune Tuesday! 👋

@blackdaisyft I really liked those three tunes this week. Solstício de Inverno is very celtic. But I loved Meio Fado. Do you notice the Edwyn Collins "Never Met A Girl Like You Before" undertones. Hint of a James Bone on the Riviera about it as well. I loved the build up.
[In] Pressão was funny because I was doing your breath in and breathe out thing and then all of a sudden it went into a Britney Spears toxic into Succession soundtrack rhythm. Ha. There are so many songs in one here. I even heard the ET theme at one stage. Addams family as well. Anyway I enjoyed them.
James Bond I was meant to say
I'm so glad you liked it! 😁 Their "Teias de Seda" album is really worthy to check them out!
I'm not as good as you in understanding the little parts of another song, I feel only recently (5 years or so) I started to really listen to music and be able to remember were the melodies go from each song hehehe. So I'm a like a child listening to everything from scratch 😍
[In]Pressão yes! It can give a little scary bump hehehe that's one of the reason it would be cool to do the breathing exercises. It's really unexpected 😂
Another wonderful 3 tune Tuesday post @blackdaisyft - thank you! My thoughts below...these all felt film/theatrical related :-)
The first tune was so relaxing and invited one in as if to a homestead in the countryside and then became so jarring and frenetic. I am not sure what story it is actually telling but the change in pace ruined it for me. It kinda feels like it comes from an opera or theatrical production now, which would make more sense as it feels like it is conveying motion and speed.
The second tune you are right has many elements of familiarity. it feels like one of those big motion picture soundtracks when the main characters are out in the great expanse of nature and time is passing by, so the film shows their life passing over some time through scenes to music.
The third track feels like one of those from those silent films from years gone by :-)
@blackdaisyft! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @samsmith1971. (7/10)
The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want.

Thank you @samsmith1971 💜 I see your point when you say it seems more theatrical tunes. That first one really is unexpected and frenetic! Frenetic really describes well my emotional state not long ago 🤣 (note to self - remember that word!)
I also agree with you in your opinion about that second song 😁 It really feels like a smooth breaze remembering life and all the beautiful memories.
I think I've never seen muted movies before except for Charles Chaplin 🤔🤔🤔 Do you have any recommendation regarding muted movies? 😊
!LUV
@blackdaisyft(1/1) gave you LUV.

Recommendations !LOLZ nope 😂 I like my films with dialogue. But I've seen snippets of old black and white films from the past and of course Charlie Chaplin and this 3rd one just brought the memory of that front and centre for me. !PIZZA

Gong to check out these great songs tomorrow while I’m working to really set the chilled out mood for the day!
Nice! I really hope you like it. They're awesome tunes to follow along work or reading a nice book.
When I'm reading or writting I need some silence, so I can't really concentrate when there's too much going on around. So I usually listen to some chilled tunes or beats on Youtube with no lyrics. It really helps the flow heheh 😊
Thank you for stoping by! For the rest of the week I'll be reading and commenting all your #ttt post 😊 See you soon!
I liked the songs! They were certainly some interesting and low key ones, some great piano and violin in there! I appreciate these types of songs without lyrics for their different purposes for us to just relax to and do things.
If I'm working, for the most part, I can enjoy it while listening to some music although if I'm doing something brain-intensive like learning, I can't listen to music for sure lol
I really like the piano and violin in these too! heheh Hope you had a great week and see you next tuesday 😃

Hey there, I'm late catching up on the songs this week, been a busy week with work and home..
These three were spot on tunes and wide open to interpretation having no words.
Solstício de Inverno gave me a sense of a new beginning, something in my mind about horses or people on horseback setting out on a new adventure. Piano is always powerful in songs and whatever that wind instrument is balances in there nicely as well.
Solstício de Inverno definitely makes me want to get up and move and has a really positive vibe and upbeat tempo to it. It's got to be harder to come with a song that is instrumental only, I would say adding words makes the process far easier, as it can complement the music or fill some gaps. There is nowhere to hide with instrumental only.
Pressão - wow, that was an experience, like a roller coaster of emotion. Calm and relaxed - worry and tension - calm and relaxed - worry and tension. It was very well put together and for me it's Yin and yang, black and white, good and bad within the melodies battling each other, both wanting to be the protagonist. Those sudden and speedy piano solos are kind of intrusive on the calm of the mellow music that proceeds it. I suppose it mirrors life and the ups and downs that we all inevitably encounter along our journeys. The intrusive tense piano solos will always crop up, but they will always be followed by calm relaxed music at some stage.
Hey there! I feel ya! It's been the same around here. I was actually having a bit of inspiration right now to talk about a different topic. Been felling kinda stuck and with zero creativity... There's too much going on in work and life in gereneral that I realize that I really need some space and alone time to gather my thoughts together... I really do think too much and have a tendency to overthinking stuff. But I guess that's just my process. 😆
I sense you got very similar feelings regarding these songs as me! [In]Pressão really expressed well my feelings lately and you're insight really added to my vision in understanding them. And Solstício de Inverno can really put you up in a good mood after such ambiguous emotions 😉
I'm happy you found the time to catch up to the tunes last week! Thank you for your effort and dedication to Three Tune Tuesdays 🙏
