Dog Caterpillar a Strange Species | Oruga Perro Una Especie Extraña [Eng-Esp]
Greetings nature lovers. I am definitely enthusiastic about the idea of writing about what generates my wellbeing.
Among the most relevant things I point out the contact with nature. Step by step I have learned about the importance of the environment around me for my own life.
I love butterflies. Their process of transformation from egg to larva; from larva to caterpillar; from caterpillar to butterfly is simply fascinating.
Last year I presented in my posts several species of Lepidoptera. The year that has just ended I wanted to give continuity but, strangely enough and I want to write it down, I did not observe many butterflies. What happened? I do not know.
Saludos amantes de la naturaleza. Definitivamente me entusiasma la idea de escribir sobre aquello que me genera bienestar.
Entre las cosas más relevante señalo el contacto con la naturaleza. Paso a paso he aprendido sobre la importancia del medio que me rodea para mi propia vida.
Amo las mariposas. Su proceso de transformación de huevecillo a larva; de larva a oruga; de oruga a mariposa es sencillamente fascinante.
El año antes pasado presenté en mis post varias especies de lepidopteras. El año que acaba de culminar quise dar continuidad pero, como algo extraño y quiero dejarlo escrito, no observé muchas mariposas. ¿Qué sucedió? No lo sé.
I was left wondering why I was not able to be in the presence of my beloved butterflies.
If we evaluate the state of the weather we lived during the year with high temperatures. The heat was felt affecting nature without any doubt.
Is it possible that insects such as butterflies were the most affected? I would like to know.
In my small garden one or two butterflies arrived and left little eggs that don't always manage to survive their predators.
The white peacock butterfly is the one that visits my plants the most and the one that harbors its eggs is the lemon balm plant.
Me quedé con la incógnita de saber las causas por las cuales no logré estar en presencia de mis amadas mariposas.
Si evaluamos el estado del tiempo vivimos durante el año altas temperaturas. El calor se hizo sentir afectando sin duda alguna a la naturaleza.
¿Es posible que insectos como las mariposas hayan sido las más afectadas? Me gustaría saberlo.
En mi pequeño jardín llegaron una que otra mariposa y dejaron pequeños huevecillo que no siempre logran sobrevivir a sus depredadores.
La mariposa pavo real blanca es quien más visita mis plantas y quien alberga sus huevecillos es la planta del toronjil.
One day, while pruning and cleaning the soil of the orchard I saw something strange on the Ruda plant. To tell the truth I thought it was pigeon poop.
If you remember the characteristics of those droppings, you will remember their color and shape. So was that thing resting on a rue leaf.
I grabbed my phone, activated the camera and took a few shots. Well, that strange image was a caterpillar. It was hard to see it moving and that's why I hesitated.
In some approaches it looked like a stone faced bug hahaha. Again and again I kept photographing it. Suddenly in an unexpected moment, the lepidoptera pulled out a red tongue split in two like the snakes.
Amazing! Now I was convinced, it is a caterpillar.
Un día, mientras podaba y limpiaba la tierra del huerto vi algo extraño sobre la planta de Ruda. Al decir verdad creí que era pupú de paloma.
Si recuerdan las características de esas heces, recordaran su color y su forma. Así mismo era aquella cosa que reposaba sobre una hoja de la ruda.
Tomé mi teléfono, activé la cámara e hice algunos disparos. Bien, esa extraña imagen era una oruga. Me costó verla en movimiento y por eso dudaba.
En algunos enfoque veía como un bicho con cara de piedra jajaja. Una y otra vez la fui fotografiando. De pronto en un momento inesperado, el lepidoptera sacó una legua roja partida en dos como la de las serpientes.
¡Sorprendente! Ahora si me convenció, es una oruga.

It is said that this insect can be dangerous for humans as well as for dogs or cats. In a brief review I read I got this information.
To humans it can cause allergic reactions but to animals a bite from it can be deadly.
I saw it growing on my plant. I wanted to follow it to the end when it became a chrysalis and then a butterfly but, after several days when it was big enough, I lost sight of it.
I still knew that in its transformation the caterpillar ends up being a giant oriental kite butterfly.
Se dice que este insecto puede ser peligros tanto para los humanos como para perros o gatos. En una breve reseña que leí conseguí esa información.
A los humanos puede ocasionar reacciones alérgicas pero para los animales puede ser mortal una picadura de ella.
La vi crecer sobre mi planta. Quise hacerle seguimiento hasta el final cuando se convirtiera en crisálida y luego en mariposa pero, luego de varios días cuando ya estaba lo suficientemente grande, la perdí de vista.
Aún así supe que en su transformación la oruga termina siendo una mariposa cometa gigante oriental
