Big race in Leofinance, pleasant surprises, new knowledge and a million new questions.

avatar
(Edited)

Three weeks ago, pulsing with excessive free time, I decided to start writing comments, or rather, I decided to get to know the Leofinance community and the economy of this platform better, I won’t sin, many points were not noticed by me, or not understood thoroughly.

Questions give rise to answers so my comments began.

After some time, I thought that since I started writing comments it's worth registering in The Hive Engagement League, whose activities I was familiar with by hearsay and thought what if suddenly I have a few extra comments I can earn the Hive.

I didn't know about the competition that @khaleelkazi announced and when The Hive Engagement League was discussing the possibility of showing Khal what they are capable of I asked a ridiculous question: Are you not satisfied with the quality of Khal's comments?)

Yes, when last week I received 100 Leo coins from the Khal I took it as a grand gesture not a prize for writing more comments than the Khal.

Remember the old funny video where you can see a cameraman with a video camera on his shoulder running on a level with famous sprinters who run around the stadium and finish first ... a similar situation turned out.

Even yesterday when I received the second hundred LEO coins, I thought that I was just having fun and learning something new.

But yesterday evening finally I found out that a race was announced and prizes for those who write more comments than Khal.

I must say that this news was combined with the 1400 comments that I saw which wrote in a week dear @taskmaster4450le.

The knowledge of this man a cyborg in his field is admirable he does not just write empty comments he thinks over every phrase well and shows his literacy in the question to which he answers.

It deserves respect and shows what one should strive for when writing comments, but...14000...oh, 200 comments a day...I imagined myself, how I would look in the evening after such a mental load and I couldn’t find any other comparison than with this cactus which has lost touch with reality and thorns have grown on its hands from the constant knocking on the keyboard, lol.

The capabilities of a person are surprising, yes in two weeks I began to assess the situation faster read faster and type faster while finding time to write posts and work in the crypto market, but... how to write 200 comments a day, I still don’t I see.

Let's go back to last night. It was then that I found out the reason for the hype namely that everyone who writes more comments than Khal writes will receive 100 LEO coins.

The incentive is excellent but there are some buts.

This news made me think and slow down the inner greed that is inherent in most people, stop, blow off steam and just go ahead, enjoying life.

I came to this a couple of minutes ago typing the text of this post.

Yes, if possible, I will write more comments than Khal, who, lol, promised to turn on the printer and show everyone how to write comments.

It turns out that these two weeks, it was a head start on the treadmill that Khal gave us.

191.png

I decided that I would not let greed dominate me and would spend more time reading posts and thinking about them than writing comments.

Yes, after this race, I am afraid of losing my main goal, namely, to thoroughly understand the basics of building the Leofinance economy.

But, in any case, the Khal should be ready to part with another hundred LEO coins).

The max I could do is 700 comments. Just once I managed to overtake Taskmaster. Commenting takes a lot of time and reading but it's educational as well and a good way of advertising yourself.

Yesterday morning, I thought 180 comments was my limit. lol. but, yesterday I wrote about 70 comments and did not notice this, but, this is still very far from your success. Yes, it is important to understand the essence of the post and its details, this is the main part of the load and time.

It's best when commenting is fun. I treat it as such so I don't think of it as that much of a job. Otherwise, it's easy to lose motivation and stop.

I doubt anyone cried reading my comment lol. I completely agree with you by 350%) ... although if these are tears from laughter ... I don’t mind)

Congrats on your second 100LEO! It also astonishes me how TM does what he does. I can only say he is an expert in the crypto world and he definitely knows what he is talking about.

The engagement is fun and we learn some things along the way. All the best in beating the printer machine, lol!

Thank you, I often had to deal with the printer, I have an old one on my desk Canon laser printer to which there are no drivers for new versions of Windows and you have to dust a twenty-year-old laptop from dust). It looks like a real battle.

As I said, from today, the ability to win will depend only on the development of my skills, and not the desire to jump out of my own skin, I want to walk like water), naturally, simply, smoothly, without unnecessary jerks, without unnecessary emotions, if the result will be significant, I will not refuse 100 LEO). Thank you!

Oh yeah, right! That part of your goal skipped my mind, pardon me, lol! But yes, learning shouldn't be a race. It must be enjoyed, no stress, but fun, natural, smooth and what else, hehe. Cheers!

It has been a mix of everything on Leofinance Engagement, through it I bumped into you lol, the 100 LEO from Khal is a motivating factor, above all though its the connection of friends I make and meet is what's most valuable to me.

Yes, my friend, I am a happy person who has many friends, I always considered you as such, just before, we talked less). I should have noted this in my post, but I think you can dedicate a separate post to friends), sometimes I managed to do this when there was inspiration to draw. I haven’t drawn with a ballpoint pen for a long time, I will need to remember this. But, in such moments, I do not talk about finances, only about friends. I hope the sun doesn't burn South Africa as hard as it does India. You can escape from the heat in the mountainous Lesotto, where it is sometimes cool). Have a great day!

Its either you have traveled a lot or your knowledge about other countries is quite rich, you mention De Beers the other day and I wondered how you know about it, now Lesotho lol, Lesotho is very cold, never been there but I worked close to its boarder a few time already in Zastron. We are in winter now so its cold, coldest days are still ahead though

Yes, you can say that I traveled a lot, but without leaving my apartment), at least without leaving the country where I now live. I'm a stamp collector and travel through each one. Many postage stamps from my collection belong to the African continent, the colonial era. Postage stamps are the history of each country, a piece of it in my apartment. I have written many posts in Leofinance about postage stamps, including the Lesotto stamps, which is a series of butterflies. Studying the history of postage stamps, I studied the history of the highland country of Lesotto, which is surrounded on all sides by South Africa, has no access to the sea. Interesting country. few people know that snow in Africa can be seen not only on Kilimanjaro, but also in Lesotto.

Interesting stuff, am originally from Nigeria, and mom being from Republic of Benin makes me dual national but been resident of SA for 14 years now.
I always wonder why don't Lesotho be part of SA since it is just right inside SA. Some history about that I never real got to find out

If my memory serves me, there were attempts to capture Lesotto, but the highlands were on the side of the defenders. Later, this was not allowed to do by the UN. But inside Lesotto the passions of coups raged always. The series of postage stamps refers to 1984, and it was this period that interested me in the first place, this is the time of the reign of King Moshoeshoe II of Lesotho king, who, initially, was only a ceremonial king, but later. received all power in his hands, but, in 1986, he was overthrown. When I have more postage stamps of different years, I will be able to tell you more, it is impossible to know the immensity at once).

That's some interesting history, even though I never took interest to read about why Lesotho is within South Africa, the South Africans I asked and even a Lesotho lady friend I also asked didn't give me reason as to why. I find it interesting a bit of the answer is coming from you in another continent.
Interesting stuff 👌

That's right, it confirms that the earth is flat. The answer to this question slipped, once into the northern hemisphere, and never returned to the southern hemisphere, lol. If the earth were a ball, he would scoot back)

Commenting is quite tough and it's harder than people think. Even before Khal was giving out LEO, I was already commenting so I don't really think much changed in what I was doing and good luck getting LEO out of khal. Just make sure to do a consistent amount of comments each day because Khal tends to do periodically and he isn't as consistent.

Thank you very much, you confirmed my guess that Khal is too busy person, and his words are just motivation for us to concentrate on something useful for the community. But, I got a taste, I started to like what I've been doing for the last three weeks, and not 100 leo is my motivator, in fact, as I said in my post.

This doesn't even bother me a bit tbh but it's a wake-up call for everyone ready to join in on the challenge and boost the overall numbers every week.

I'm just focused on showing up daily, reading at least 20+ posts, and must leave a comment at the end.

Many would-be motivated to join khal but the consistent part is very important as well.

There is a saying: Truth is born in a dispute, if you read the comments, you will see or understand that the words of Khal, with a high probability, are an attempt to stimulate us to write more comments. I doubt very much that he will give up all his affairs and begin to deal only with comments, everything has its price. He acted very wisely.

100%

He's a working robot and he manages to get everything together even with polycub taking most of his time currently.

I hope to see how next week's numbers increase massively compared to recent weeks.

Yes, this engagement contest really only matters if the engagement is genuine. Spam isn't gunna cut it.

To be honest, for a long time, except for these three weeks, I have not written comments anywhere, neither in the Hive, nor on Facebook, nor on any forums. There was a division of some comments into spam and flood. Spam is an understandable thing when a person scribbles the same thing, and flooding is some departure from the topic of the post. The flood was only bad for those who were looking for, say, targeted buyers, and it was distracting.
I think that in order to get interaction indicators, you should even rejoice at the flood. If people feel comfortable on your page and do not stray far from the topic of conversation, this, in any case, has a positive effect on your popularity and, as they say, in SEO content optimization.
It seemed to me that you often receive spam? You have already repeated this phrase several times during our communication and it looks like spam. Don't be offended, there are things to get used to. There are many sociable people who you can go to without any problems and talk on any topic, I can afford it because I can support any conversation on any topic from ballet to microbiology). Simply look at some things, and spam, and I do not like. I don't understand what you mean by real and not real.

That was a lot to take in. My point was, engagement is great but if someone is just commenting one word or "great post", is it really meaningful? Or is it just a way to climb the comment rank?

Look I get wanting to be at the top of the list, but I think it can be done with genuine conversation. I'd rather discuss the actual topic than read a bunch of "great post" comments.

I wasn't saying you're spamming or anything like that. I just wanted to point out that we can have real, engaged conversations, that are much more valuable than just a "good job".

As far as me spamming, nah. I may repeat things I find important here and there but I'm not running around copy-pasting the same thing on a bunch of posts. I genuinely enjoy this.

This is what I mean by real conversation. :)
