#Newbies Task 6/ My Hive Efficiency Tools

The newbies initiative task six is out.
The initiative has been a whole lot of learning. From one topic to the other and it has been very educative.

As usual, we had our usual meeting on Discord Sunday night. @starstrings01 was the host and the facilitator for this week was @olujay again. He exposed us to some hive efficiency tools needed for a hivan used to monitor growth on hive and how to improve on the blockchain.

The lecture was enlightening because I have not heard of some of the tools he talked about before. I got to know about them and their uses from his teaching.

Here is the task for this week and my response.

1. Explain why it is important for you to track and monitor your progress on Hive.
It is very important to track and monitor your progress on hive because you need to know where you are lagging and how to monitor and improve your growth.
Hive is a platform that encourages growth that is why the Hivebuzz will always notify you on every little achievement you make and encourage you to your next target.

2. Find your account on Hivebuzz, and then show a screenshot of your profile. Hence, explain what your marine character means, and then what the six numbers about you mean.

My Marine character is the red fish which is the starter. It's the least of the marine characters because I'm still young on hive. The six numbers mean that I'm still a starter.

3. Find your profile on Hivestats, and then provide details on your effective HP, author and curation rewards in the last seven days. Then, explain what they each mean and tell you about your account.

To find my profile on Hive stats, I typed the URL https://hivestats.io/
This link took me to the page and ask for my username which I inputed. then, it took me to my account status page.
My Effective HP is 182.63 HP
My author reward in the last seven days is 11.1 HP and 3.78 HBD.
My curation reward in the last seven days is 0.14 HP.

• The Effective HP is the total of your Hive power without any delegation added to it.

• The author reward is the reward that we get from each post we make and it is divided into two which is the HP meaning Hive power and the HBD meaning Hive backed dollar.

• The curation reward is the reward we earn from voting for others.

4. Find the lazy-panda curation trail and follow it. Customise the trail according to weight, method, and wait time as desired. Then, enable the trail if you really want to be a part of it. Show screenshots.
I found the Lazy-panda curation trail and followed it by typing the URL hive.vote I was required to sign-in through hive signer, which I did

I clicked on curation trail, searched for Lazy-panda curation trail and I clicked "follow"

It showed that I am following it and I clicked on setting and made all the necessary adjustment and clicked save setting at the bottom of the page and that was all.

5. Configure and set up F.R.I.D.A.Y. to give you notifications. Provide a step-by-step explanation with screenshots.
I was able to configure and set up the F.R.I.D.A.Y. bot to give me notifications about every aspect I desire in my Hive account.
Firstly, I clicked on the link sent

I then use the command /register to register

It showed that I've been registered and I used the command /setting to set up what I want to get notifications on.

After that, it brought me here

I clicked the change F.R.I.D.A.Y Notification settings and it brought numerous items I could get notifications on.

I selected the one's I want and I went back to the top of the page to save.

And that was it.
