March 3rd, 2021After a bit of a delay, the raffle is out for you all to enjoy. There was a period of a few days, where Hive Keychain wouldn't display the delegator stats, so I just had to wait until the devs fixed the error. What a pleasant surprise I found when I was able to view the updated delegation info, because once again you all have amazed me with a wave of new delegations and delegation increases.
@jack.russelle increased his delegation by a few thousand and found himself nipping at the heels of @gabe.radke, the top GOLD delegator. @lueetang bumped up his delegation to 300 HP, leaving me speechless and wondering why you all believe in me and ASEAN Hive so much. @rosmadirazali seems to be on a slow and steady path of upgrading his delegation a bit each week, and I can't thank him enough for being such a vital ASEAN Hiver.
@alvonsohiver and @semarekha increased their delegations to 100 HP, moving themselves out of BRONZE and into SILVER VIP territory. Also, @godlovermel25 surprised me with a brand new delegation of 100 HP, instantly starting himself off as a SILVER VIP member. One of our newest members, @kriang3teejoe, gave us a 50 HP delegation, a nice addition to some already awesome content and an impressive amount of engagement.
That pretty much sums up the latest delegation activity. I've also been increasing mine by 500 HP here and there, and I'm now closing in on @davidke20's massive delegation, although I exclude myself from the raffle for obvious reasons.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @kidsisters, & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are four separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 65,357, and total delegated HP is 62,022 HP (45,101 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
The more you delegate, the greater your chances are to win, and this weekly raffle is just a fun way to reward supporters of Southeast Asian content on Hive.

I don't know why, but this is my favorite post to arrange each week. It's always exciting to see who will win, but I must admit having my phone pick a random winner in a millisecond is less fun than the thought of having some kind of physical machine to pick the winner, such as a big wheel or something. I hope to eventually incorporate something like in the future.

Haha, nicely put. Hive is an awesome blockchain and concept, but I too have encountered my share of jerks, and basically at this point ASEAN Hive is Hive to me. Speaking very generally of course, but I love how SE Asian folks seem to keep a positive life attitude and a good sense of humor no matter what life throws their way.
