August 12th, 2023This week I noticed a major uptick in @semarekha's delegation, where she now sits at 2,000 HP+, and with that comes increased raffle odds, but this week luck wasn' t on her side. @rosmadirazali continued his slow and steady trend uptick, jumping to 710 HP and climbing a few spaces in the raffle odds.
We also picked up some new delegations below the VIP line, one from @philnews.xyz at 25 HP and one from @ikankaruk88 at 2 HP. No delegation goes unnoticed or unused, and I can't thank the delegators enough for driving this community. I have several projects in mind for how to use the curation earnings to benefit us all, but right it's just ideas until enough liquid funds are available.
I already have nearly 500 HBD in the @asean.hive savings account, and I've been thinking about using this as a fund for ASEAN Hivers, perhaps as a no interest short term loan or donation to assist with medical emergencies or family assistance. At the moment I've been quite busy, but I do hope to post about it soon to start getting ideas and feedback from you all.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 138,081, and total delegated HP is 126,145 HP (88,856 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

As you are newbie, my best advice for you is to reach 500 HP for yourself first before worrying about any delegations. With 500 HP you'll have a big enough to appear in the notifications of those folks whose comments and posts you upvote. I think especially being able to reward your commenters a bit goes a long way too, and this will likely increase engagement on your posts.
Thank you for giving me suggestions about this, I will keep gathering more Rewards by being consistent.
I noticed that Dave gave you a 50 HP delegation, that will help you a bit in the beginning with resource credits and also give you some voting power. I'll match Dave and now you have 100 HP total. I'll leave my delegation with you until you reach 500 HP.
