Larry Is Alive Contest #120 I Am Alive Challenge: August 10, 2023 2 Years Hive Anniversary🎉🎉🎂🎂

Hello everyone. Welcome to thursday the tenth day of the month of August 2023. Gentlemen, football hostilities began once again today in the ongoing Women's World Cup 2023 co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia. Spain who faced the Netherlands in the first quarter final match defeated them by (2-1) while Japan who squared up against Sweden also lost to the Swedish ladies by (2-1). With these matches, Spain and Sweden progressed to the semifinals and they'll face each other on the 15th day of August, 2023. Tomorrow, Australia will face France while England plays against the surprise package, Colombia. Let's see how those matches will pan out. Larry then turns his attention to have a look at today in #history.

Larry begins his look at today in history from France. He finds out that on this day in 1792, King Louis XVI and his wife, Marie-Antoinette, were imprisoned (they would later be guillotined), essentially ending the monarchy of the nation as the French Revolution (1789–1799) progressed.

Larry remains in France as he finds out that on this day in 1914, France declared war on Austria-Hungary in World War I.

Larry moves to the world of movies and entertainment. He find out that on this day in 1960, Antonio Banderas, whose full name is José Antonio Domínguez Banderas, Spanish-born actor and filmmaker who rose to prominence on the world stage thanks to his beautiful looks, sensuality, and range of emotions was born in Málaga, Spain. Larry remembers the movie where Antonio Banderas stared Desperado (1995), wherein Banderas played El Mariachi, a gun-toting musician.

From the world of movies and entertainment, Larry moves over to Colombia. He finds out that on this day in 1951, Juan Manuel Santos, whose full name is Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, a Colombian politician who cofounded the Social Party of National Unity (Partido Social de Unidad Nacional, or Partido de la U) in 2005 and later served as Colombia's president (2010-18) was born in Bogotá, Colombia.

Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in history from the USA. He finds out that on this day in 1977, David Berkowitz, an American serial murderer, was apprehended after murdering six people in New York City and causing a panic in the city; he ultimately confessed and was sentenced to 365 years in prison.

Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.

Today, 11th August, 2023 marks my second year in this beautiful blogging blockchain called hive. I don't even keep count of this until @hivebuzz sent me the notification today. Thanks for keeping us updated.
