Hello my asean hive friends!
It's been a awhile since I posted about my day to day experiences. I had so much to tell you because these past weeks I have been to several adventures with my bff, my hubby. For this post let me share to you our wonderful experience yesterday. Hubby and I decided to check on our property to see if our avocado trees, mangoes, bananas and cashews have some fruits and perhaps we could harvest some. We left our house past eight am already. Good thing it showered during the early morning so it wasn't that hot yet.

This is the dirt road going to our property. It's a bit of a hilly hike so me and hubby just enjoyed the beautiful morning, the lush trees surrounding us with the birds chirping and singing as if to greet us a happy morning. This place is on the outskirts part of our city and it has a country side vibe to it. I so love coming here because it's really a breath of fresh air. People's houses are far from each other all you can see are vacant lots full of trees and vegetation.

1000003047.jpg

1000003048.jpg

We hiked for about twenty minutes from the main road where we parked our vehicle. The property is inside the barangay area going to the hills, the mountains. That's why the road here is not yet developed because there aren't that many residents on this part of the Barangay. Mostly The Aetas or the local tribes are the ones living in this parts they are nestled on the hills just across our property.

on the right side of this photo is the entrance of our property which we call the hill top because it's a hill that is flat on top more like a plateau.

1000003056.jpg

1000003052.jpg

1000002951.jpg

The land area of this property is around eight thousand square meters. We acquired this last 2017. When we bought this It's planted with mango trees and cashews. We have a lot of mango trees on this property. Around forty plus trees all bearing fruits plus the cashews which are around thirty as well.

1000003088.jpg

1000003087.jpg

1000003086.jpg

It's been a while since we've been here, I think it was September last year when we last visited because October of last year that's the time my mother-in-law got sick, was hospitalized. My husband and I were the one's who took care of her until her passing a few months ago, February the 9th.
We were so happy to see that they have fruits. Actually this is the first time we see our trees bearing fruits. I was grateful that our visit was a perfect timing atleast we can harvest some mangoes. It was surprising for us that even with the extreme heat they bore some fruit. It's really so hot nowadays, that we even reached the danger levels of 53 degrees Celsius on the heat index. Schools are always suspended due to the extreme heat. So we never thought our mango trees would have some fruit. Probably because they are big and old so the heat was just nothing to them.

1000003074.jpg

1000003072.jpg

Fruits just fall off the trees for no one harvests them because almost all the houses in our neighborhood have mango trees themselves too.
The property is full of dried leaves scattered all around so that will be our next project to clean out all the dried leaves. We will seek the help of our church mates, invite them to have an overnight camping after the clearing works for this property is perfect for a campsite because it's cool and windy specially during the afternoons up till the evening. Plus the views are spectacular. It has a three hundred sixty degrees view of the adjacent mountains. So they can experience first hand the joys of harvesting mangoes as well now that it still have some fruits on them so that will be another tale to tell.

1000003211.jpg

1000003212.jpg

We then visited our other property which is just near to our hill top. I wanted to see if our avocado trees have some fruit but sadly because of the extreme heat they did not even have blossoms on them.

1000003076.jpg

1000003075.jpg

1000003068.jpg

These are our three huge avocado trees, every year they always bear fruit except for this year though.
We have other avocado trees on this property as well but they are still growing not old enough to bear some fruits yet. The property is around three thousand square meters. This too has several mango trees and cashew trees planted on it when we purchased this land last 2016.

1000003062.jpg

This is one of our cashew trees. We saw some fruits but not as many compared to last year's there were so many like the whole tree turned into a golden color because of its bountiful fruits. While we were there our staff before who lives near the neighborhood saw us and while chatting we told him of our plan to invite our church mates to have our overnight camping here we will order some coconuts from him he then told us about the waterfalls just behind his sister's house so our friends could really have a great time during our soon to be activity. We checked on the place and hiked again for about twenty minutes before arriving at the waterfalls.

1000003033.jpg

1000003007.jpg

1000003036.jpg

We passed by his property and showed us his plants that are now dry due to the extreme heat like his eggplants, chillies and even bananas were really affected by the extreme heat.

1000003120.jpg

1000003112.jpg

We then came to his sister's house. He showed us his unfinished project of the house which was put on hold for now due to lack of budget and just behind their house is the gem.

They have a ten foot drop waterfalls. We were saying that our city are having problems with the water supply while they have this abundant water supply just in their backyard, so lucky.

1000003146.jpg

1000003144.jpg

1000003140.jpg

My husband tried to go down to see the beauty of the place while I was filming my husband going down suddenly Reniel jumped off the rock and plunged into the water. It was all so sudden that I only got this shot of his arms well I was not on a good standpoint either standing on the edge of the rock taking a video.

1000003148.jpg

1000003150.jpg

1000003152.jpg

Look at him all smiles telling my husband it's faster to go down by jumping in the water, what the?!! Haha.
He then showed off his diving skills by plunging into the water again. This time doing a summer Sault.
I was so afraid that he would hit his bald head on the rocks.😁😅
Reneil is really such a show off even when he was our worker before he was always the strongest, bravest, toughest kind of a man, windy too!! You know what I mean.😄😁

1000003185.jpg

1000003183.jpg

1000003161.jpg

The bottom was around eight feet deep that when he measured it we could no longer see him.

Now you see him😄

![1000003165.jpg](

Now you don't 😄
1000003167.jpg

After that he showed us his running water. His clean spring water that never runs dry since they lived here.

1000003187.jpg

1000003097.jpg

1000003096.jpg

Hubby tasted it and then gave me some to taste as well it does taste kinda sweet and cold too very refreshing. While we were there his nephew and some friends were the one's harvesting some mangoes. So I don't have photos during their harvest. I only saw this part the one's that are inside the net.

We harvested three different varieties, the Indian mangoes, the piko and the kinalabaw. I don't know what they're called in English. Thus is the kinalabaw, the big ones you see in the grocery stores.

1000003202.jpg

These are the Indian mangoes. They are sweet and crunchy it's like eating an apple.

1000003022.jpg

1000003030.jpg

After our adventure we got hungry and we went to one of the big mall here in our city to have our late lunch at Mang Inasal. So funny, when we entered the mall we were both covered with dust most specially hubby who was just wearing slippers. We were laughing talking about where we came from the forest down to the concrete jungle.😍😍

1000003004.jpg

1000002995.jpg

1000002996.jpg

1000003001.jpg

After our adventure with our stomachs full we then headed home and slept the whole afternoon.. what a day. A happy, bounteous day that really made us smile. Another happy memories shared together in love.
Hope you had fun reading my seemingly long post.

The end😊

I wish to thank @tattoodjay for his #wednesdaywalk initiative with his collaboration with Ms. @elizacheng for her #makemesmile. Happy to support these initiatives.

See you on my next adventures.

@aideleijoie♥️

Yes so true, having lands and other property is really a good investment for lands never depreciate but appreciates in value which is what me and my husband are aiming for.

Having places like this is so satisfyingm you have your own go to place when you feel tired, down, stressed out and you just want to have some peace and quiet plus giving you some harvest is really a blessing from God and I am truly grateful.
