Shadow Hunters/ Smash contest round 285
Last night while I was walking on the street during the heavy rain, still drenched even if I had my umbrella with me.
I was admiring our neighborhood while passing by each house. How it has progressed over the years. Where once stood a small nipa hut now it's a two storey concrete house. Others have now become apartment compounds. Some even have third floors already. I was just happily walking all by myself on the road. I went out to buy some noodles because my husband requested that I cook some noodles for him because of the stormy weather. In my country, the Philippines we have small stores in houses everywhere which we call the Sari-sari store. Sari-sari literally means anything, like a mini Mart but these ones are just on the houses. Anyone can open a Sari-sari store as long as you have the necessary permits from the local government unit like our barangay then you are good to go. They belong to the small business enterprise. Usually housewives open these stores for added income in the family.
You can see here in the video a Sari-sari store just infront of the house and beside it is another home based business which is selling some grilled barbecue's which is again another small business. So if one wishes to eat some barbecue for dinner but doesn't like grilling them themselves so you can buy them instead which is what we do at times. We buy from our neighbors. We have five in our neighborhood who sells barbecue.
Here in the video, I am saying that we have a bakery, a hardware store, a pharmacy and the Sari-sari stores and the barbecue stores in our neighborhood. We even have some small wet markets so you don't have to go to the city proper just to buy some fresh vegetables, meat and fish
While walking of course I was wearing my purple boots... Haha

It is still raining Cats and dogs now in my city as I am typing this post. We just had three storms over the weekend. One exited already while one is currently devastating and another one is on its way.
Oh my! The storms just loves our country so much!
