The Intellectual Gifted Children

Children are a gift from God but some are exceptionally intelligent which most times amazed me a lot. There is always exceptionality in their way of life, the way they talk, and even the way they relate with people.

To me it seems like children of this generation are smarter than ever, they tend to learn things easily. Most times you notice them acting as an adult while playing with their friend. That's why parent should be careful of things they do right in front of their children because they tend to learn things faster. I had a niece who was just 3 years old, i noticed anytime I was applying makeup on my face she always looked at me, but I do ignore her because I believe she's still a small child. So one day I went out and forgot to lock my room, only to find her in my room with my makeup box. She already applied powder on her face. I met her rubbing lipstick on her lips when I entered. I was so shocked because I was not aware that she was noticing me. Indeed, Children of this generation are fast learners.

I remember when I was once a teacher in a private school some years back, this environment exposed me to a lot of children. Amidst all, I have a student in my class she's the youngest of them all. But her level of intelligence amazed me a lot. She's a fast learner and highly intelligent. The amazing fact about this girl is that her parent are illiterate and they can neither read nor write but when it comes to this girl, her case is different. There was a time I called her and asked her how she used to read at home because I was told by her classmate that she do assist her parent in hawking vegetables at the market. She replied that she always read at night. I was amazed. It's not always easy for a student to hawk during the day and as well read at night. The girl is just 7 years old but she's highly intelligent, she has won several competition awards for the school. She's highly versatile in all subjects and one thing about this girl is that she's calm and gentle. I believe if she continues this way, Sky won't be her limit.

Recently, I traveled to visit my elder sister she has a baby who is almost two years of age but the most amazing thing is that when she speaks, she speaks like an adult. Her level of reasoning is above her age. She's highly smart and intelligent. She is also a fast learner.

Every month she always learn at least 15 memory verses from the bible. The amazing thing is that she can recite them well without missing a word. I'm always amazed when she does this. She's also a good singer. Whenever she listens to a song she scores the song in detail by singing it word for word without missing any. To crown it all, She's a good dancer, she has great dancing steps that amaze a lot of people. She is really endowed with a lot of potential.

As a person, I'm always happy to associate myself with such kind of intelligent children. They are always fun to be with, and most times they are always a source of motivation in becoming a better as well adult. When associated with intelligent children I get to learn more from them by paying close attention at them and I'm always in awe at their level of intelligence.
