Went to Lao Huo Tang at Nex for dinner recently.

最近去Nex购物中心的老火汤吃了晚饭。

It wasn't crowded in there.

餐厅里人不多。

My wife handled the menu today and ordered a variety of dishes. We went for some healthy brown rice and pumpkin rice, paired with their signature watercress soup. The soup was flavourful and felt very nourishing.

今天由我太太负责点菜，她点了几道不同的菜肴。我们选了健康的糙米饭和金瓜饭，还配上了招牌西洋菜汤。汤头味道鲜美，喝起来很滋补。

We also had the sliced fish with ginger and spring onion. The fish was tender, and the ginger really brought out the freshness. It's a classic style that never goes wrong.

我们还点了姜葱鱼片。鱼肉鲜嫩，姜丝很好地带出了鲜味。这是经典的煮炒风味，绝对不会出错。

The honey glazed eggplant was another highlight—sweet, savoury, and perfectly fried.

Overall, the meal cost us about $52, which is quite reasonable for such a satisfying spread.
