I was walking in Chinatown last month when I came across this car parked outside a shop.

We don't see this on the road anymore because most of our cars here have a lifespan of 10 years on the road.

I went closer to look at a write up inside which told this is a 1973 Datsun 1600SSS Stationwagon. This is the same generation of Datsun 120Y I drove before.

Is it just me or does the boxy look work? While smooth, sleek lines are normally what everyone is looking for I can't help but stare at this and admire it. The side mirrors aren't something you see like this anymore.

It's special because we don't get to see these much.
You can still see a few Volkswagen Beetle around. I know someone who drives one and I rode in it a couple of years ago. She told me there is another 300 of them in Singapore left.
