Happy Wednesday everyone, today I share my walk on Sunday, on a visit to the beautiful city of El Valle del Espiritu Santo, Margarita Island, Venezuela, it is one of the most traditional villages in the state of Nueva Esparta, there is the beloved one. Patroness of Margarita Island and all of eastern Venezuela, the Virgen del Valle, where we shared the liturgical ceremony that day, then a short walk through the small place, we enjoyed some drinks and sweets from the area.
The walk began by one of the most visited temples on Margarita Island and throughout Venezuela, the beautiful Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Valley, all year hundreds of faithful visit the Virgin in her sanctuary. Next to the church is the Diocesan Museum in which you can admire the offerings of the faithful, such as the dresses of the virgin, objects belonging to the church, there are also small shops of souvenirs alluding to the virgin, handmade goldsmith's shop with pearls beautiful. The town is bordered by the abundant vegetation of mountains, and full of colonial houses. The Valley of the Holy Spirit has been admired and named as the capital of Eastern Venezuela.
The Valley is a very quiet, relaxed and preserved site of the island territory, it is worth visiting and have a very pleasant time. It is also the meeting point for the celebration of the Virgin of the Valley festivities, which are celebrated on September 8 of each year, which has been since ancient times, the patron saint of the Margarite people and to which many miracles are attributed.
