Mi nombre es Gabriela Alexandra y Clara Canónico Flores (sí, sí, tengo tres nombres) pero a partir de este momento soy Gabriela para ustedes como lo soy para mis amigos y familiares. Pero ¿quién más soy? Considerando que conocerse a uno mismo es la clave para saber nuestra identidad les contaré a continuación lo que yo he descubierto sobre mí para que así me conozcan.

Hello everyone, i hope you are very well. My name is Gabriela Alexandra and Clara Canónico Flores (yes, yes, i have three names) but as of this moment i am Gabriela for you as i am for my friends and family. But who else am i? Considering that knowing yourself is the key to knowing our identity, i will tell you next what i have discovered about myself so that you can know me.

Pues bien, nací en la Ciudad de Caracas-Venezuela en diciembre del año 1993, lo cual indica que exactamente para este momento tengo 26 años de edad (¡afff! La flor de la juventud). Desde que nací he vivido en esta ciudad que aunque a veces puede resultar caótica otras resulta ser un espacio ideal y tranquilizante en el cual vivir, pues en Caracas he hallado la máxima expresión de la coexistencia de realidades. Por otro lado, vivo con mis padres y hermano (tiene 30 años) y aunque él es el mayor realmente yo parezco la hermana mayor debido a mis actitudes y comportamientos.

Well, i was born in Caracas-Venezuela in December 1993, which indicates that exactly at this time i’m 26 years old (afff! the flower of youth). I have lived in Caracas-Venezuela my whole life, and where it can be chaotic at times i find it is far more benign being central to everything. On the other hand, i live with my parents and brother (he's 30 years old) and although he’s the oldest, i really look like the older sister due to my attitudes and behaviors.

Me gustaría agregar que soy una yoguini apasionada, me gusta mucho viajar de mochilera y vivir para el servicio, de hecho tengo la fuerte creencia y convicción que a ello vinimos a esta vida: a servir. Es por ello que me realizo actividades de voluntariado tanto en mi ciudad como durante algunos viajes.

I would like to add that i am a passionate yogini, i really like to travel as a backpacker and live for service, in fact I have the strong belief and conviction that we came to this life: to serve. That’s why i carry out volunteer activities both in my city and during some trips.

Estudié Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad Central de Venezuela, me gradué a los 23 años en la mención de relaciones internacionales, siempre fui muy buena estudiante y la verdad me gustó mucho estudiar la carrera porque siempre me ha agradado leer y aprender. Sin embargo, una vez que me gradué no me identifiqué mucho con las áreas de trabajo a las cuales tuve oportunidad de ingresar, no obstante tenía otras actividades que me apasionaban como el yoga y un proyecto de vida vinculado a ello así que decidí emprenderlo.

I studied Political Science at the Venezuela Central University and i graduated at the age of 23 in the mention of international relations, i was always a very good student and i really liked studying the degree because i have always liked reading and learning. However, once i graduated i didn’t identify as much with the work areas that i had the opportunity to enter, however i had other activities that i was passionate about like yoga and a life project linked to it, so i decided to undertake it.

Es así como inicié mi propio proyecto llamado En Amor Simple dedicado a la ayuda humanitaria de comunidades vulnerables y a la enseñanza, mediante las prácticas y filosofías del yoga, de una perspectiva de vida más tranquila y serena.

This is how i started my own project called “En Amor Simple”, dedicated to the vulnerable communities humanitarian and teaching, through the practices and philosophies of yoga, of a more calm and serene outlook on life.

Pues, aunque no siempre he sido la yoguini y come flor amorosa (como me dicen mis amigos) que me gusta ser ahora siempre tuve una infancia muy feliz. Mi infancia se caracterizó por tener muchos amigos hombres, seguramente mi mamá habrá pensado en algún momento que yo era poco afeminada, pero la verdad era que me gustaba mucho jugar metras, montar en patinetas y lanzarme por largas pendientes en bicicietas con mis amigos, realmente lo disfrutaba y siempre llegaba a casa con la ropa hecha un desastre, pero era feliz.

Well, although i haven’t always been the yogini and eat loving flower (as my friends tell me) that i like to be now i always had a very happy childhood. My childhood was characterized by having many male friends, surely my mom must have thought at some point that i was not very effeminate, but the truth was that i really liked playing metras, riding skateboards and jumping down long slopes on bikes with my friends, really i enjoyed it and always came home with my clothes messed up, but i was happy.

No siempre tuve la oportunidad de vivir en una casa junto con mis dos padres puesto que ellos durante mi infancia no habían conseguido tener casa propia así que estuve un tiempo viviendo en casa de mi abuela paterna junto con mis padres y hermano pero luego tuvimos que mudarnos mi hermano, mi mamá y yo a casa de mi abuela materna. La verdad, esos años fueron un poco incómodos y tormentosos, lleno de problemas entre mis padres además de que mi mamá enfermó de cáncer, no obstante con mucha perseverancia ellos como esposos y todos como familia logramos convertir esas experiencias en momentos llenos de aprendizaje.

I didn’t always have the opportunity to live in a house with my two parents since they had not managed to have a home of their own during my childhood, so i spent time living at my paternal grandmother's house with my parents and brother, but then we had to move my brother, my mom and I to my maternal grandmother's house. Actually, those years were a bit uncomfortable and stormy, full of problems between my parents and my mother got cancer, however with great perseverance they as husbands and everyone as a family managed to turn those experiences into moments full of learning.

Oh, casi lo olvidaba. De los mejores recuerdos que tengo de mi infancia sin duda siempre han sido los de navidad siempre llena de mucha alegría y emoción porque en diciembre es mi cumpleaños pero también porque siempre comíamos mucho y me reunía con todos mis amigos a disfrutar de nuestros regalos.

Oh, I almost forgot. Best memories that i have from my childhood, without a doubt they have always been those of Christmas, always full of joy and excitement because in December it is my birthday but also because we always ate a lot and i met with all my friends to enjoy our gifts.

Respecto a mis estudios, la mayor parte de ellos, desde primaria a secundaria los realicé en un colegio privado llamado San Agustín, recuerdo que de pequeña siempre anhelé estudiar allí y allí fue en donde realicé mis estudios. Posterior a ello, ingresé a la Universidad Central de Venezuela en donde siempre también deseé estudiar y la verdad fueron de los mejores 5 años de mi vida.

Regarding my studies, most of them, from primary to secondary school, i did in a private school called San Agustín, i remember that when i was little i always wanted to study there and that's where i did. After that, i entered the Venezuela Central University where i also always wanted to study too and the truth was the best 5 years of my life.

En ella aprendí mucho, no sólo sobre mi carrera sino también sobre la vida, conocí a muchas nuevas personas, hice muchos nuevos amigos, me enamoré, tuve novio por 3 años y también viví grandes decepciones, pero sin duda de ello aprendí mucho y crecí como persona. Participé durante mi último año universitario en la coral de la escuela a la cual pertenecía y tuve la oportunidad de cantar en ella el día de mi graduación, cosa que llenó de mucho entusiasmo tanto a mi familia como a mí, especialmente porque mi familia paterna tiene una cultura musical muy marcada, incluso tengo familiares músicos y de destacado conocimiento.

In there i learned a lot, not only about my career but also about life, i met many new people, i made many new friends, i fell in love, i had a boyfriend for 3 years and i also experienced great disappointments, but without a doubt i learned a lot from it and grew up as a person. During my last university year i participated in the choir of the school to which i belonged and i had the opportunity to sing in it on the day of my graduation, which filled my family and me with great enthusiasm, especially since my paternal family has a very marked musical culture, i even have family musicians and outstanding knowledge.

Una de mis mayores metas en este momento es convertirme en profesora certificada de yoga tanto para niños como para adultos y así poder continuar avanzando en mis conocimientos y experiencias de vida, continuar enriqueciéndome como persona y poder llevar mis experiencias y aprendizajes a otros alrededor del mundo.

One of my biggest goals right now is to become a certified yoga teacher for both children and adults and thus be able to continue advancing my knowledge and life experiences, continue to enrich myself as a person and be able to take my experiences and learning to others around the world.

Realmente me gustaría vivir dedicándome a mi proyecto, visitando comunidades aquí y allá y llevando un mensaje de valor a las personas porque sé que así como yo he podido sentir la desesperanza por momentos, muchas otras personas también, pero es bueno poder tener a alguien que te ofrezca una forma más amable de ver la vida y disfrutarla.

I would really like to live dedicating myself to my project, visiting communities here and there and carrying a message of value to people because i know that just as i have been able to feel hopelessness at times, many other people too, but it is good to have someone who offers you a kinder way of seeing life and enjoying it.

Por otro lado, otro de mis grandes sueños es tener una familia muy grande puesto que me gustan los niños y los animales quiero tener 3 hijos y dos mascotas, pienso que en gran medida este deseo es porque he aprendido con el paso de los años a disfrutar de las experiencias de la vida y sin duda para mí crear una familia ha de ser una experiencia increíble, aunque no desprovista de dificultades, estas siempre nos orientan al crecimiento

On the other hand, another of my big dreams is to have a very large family since I like children and animals I want to have 3 children and two pets, I think that this desire is largely because I have learned over the years to enjoying life's experiences and without a doubt for me creating a family must be an incredible experience, although not without difficulties, these always guide us to growth.

A lo largo de mi vida como muchas otras personas he pasado por situaciones que me han parecido complicadas y me han generado sufrimiento, una de ellas y la que más recuerdo fue cuando mi mamá enfermó de cáncer la primera vez. Creo que especialmente el sufrimiento que sentí en aquel momento fue debido a que yo tenía 10 años y la verdad no sabía mucho qué hacer al respecto.

Throughout my life like many other people i have gone through situations that have seemed complicated and have caused me suffering, one of them and the one that i remember the most was when my mom got cancer the first time. I think especially the suffering i felt at that time was because i was 10 years old and i really didn't know much what to do about it.

Diariamente pude ver a mi mamá durante sus sesiones de quimioterapia como sufría o se sentía mal por la caída de su cabello pero nunca me imaginé que la iba a perder así que con mucha constancia ella logró reponerse de ello. Posteriormente, exactamente 11 años después ella volvió a enfermar de ´cancer pero esta vez todos estuvimos mucho más preparados y fortalecidos así que se sometió a cada uno de sus tratamientos con valentía y positivismo y pronto pudo vencerlo quedando así como un aprendizaje de fortaleza para todos.

Every day i was able to see my mom during her chemotherapy sessions as she suffered or felt bad about her hair loss but i never imagined that i was going to lose her, so with much constancy she managed to recover from it. Later, exactly 11 years later, she became will with cancer again, but this time we were all much more prepared and strengthened, so she underwent each of her treatments with courage and positivity and soon she could overcome it, thus remaining a learning of strength for all.

Tantos momentos felices en mi vida, podría nombrarlos uno por uno pero esta vez sólo mencionaré cuando llevé a casa a mi perrito Nico (Que en Paz Descanse) me brindó los mejores 13 años de la vida con su compañía, otra experiencia fue cuando me gradué de la universidad (¡wow!…lo mejor) y por supuesto cuando nació mi sobrina Alanna Valentina, la consentida de todos ahora.

So many happy moments in my life, i could name them one by one but this time i will only mention when i took home my puppy Nico (May he rest in peace) gave me the best 13 years of life with his company. Another experience was when i graduated from university (wow! ... the best) and of course when my niece Alanna Valentina was born, everyone's darling now.

Trabajo de forma independiente como asesora de proyectos tanto de investigación como proyectos sociales, es principalmente el ingreso que poseo. Paralelo a ello me dedico a la práctica de yoga de la cual espero pronto obtener mi primer certificado como profesora y así poder generar dinero impartiendo clases.

I work independently as a consultant for both research and social projects, it’s mainly the income I have. Parallel to this i dedicate myself to the yoga practice of which i hope to soon obtain my first certificate as a teacher and thus be able to generate money by teaching classes.

También me dedicó a realizar actividades de voluntariado con la organización de unos buenos amigos y realizo cursos relacionados con recaudación de fondos lo cual me permite aprender mucho más en cuanto al manejo de mis propios proyectos. Tengo grandes planes los cuales he ido ejecutando paso a paso y continuaré haciendo con la mejor determinación. También estoy enamorada nuevamente...

I also dedicated myself to volunteering with the organization of some good friends and i take courses related to fundraising, which allows me to learn much more about managing my own projects. I have great plans which i have been executing step by step and will continue to do so with the best determination. I am also in love again…

Y por supuesto, me encuentro incursionando en el mundo de las criptomonedas y plataformas virtuales las cuales considero que funcionan como una herramienta eficaz y de apoyo para desarrollar proyectos tanto financieros como personales

And of course, I find myself entering the world of cryptocurrencies and virtual platforms which I consider to work as an effective and supportive tool to develop both financial and personal projects.
