TRAVEL PHOTO CONTEST #39 My entry is a photo of a boat lying high and dry at low tide on the beach in Havelock island which forms part of the Andaman and Nicobar islands in the Andaman Seas in the Bay of Bengal. Taken with my Canon ixus185 20mp camera and edited with Light room app on my phone. 📸😊

This is a water deliveryman in Yangon Myanmar. They are seen walking in traffic everywhere you go in that city. Water is held in various storage facilities and the men have carts like this or even bigger. They have to carry the bottles up flights of stairs since the city floods and no one lives on the first floor. On this day it is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for sure.

Really interesting that's a lot of water to be carrying up flights of stairs.

Yes, and they are STAIRS in Yangon.

Just to show you another photo, @enosh. I had to get to the third floor in my hostel. The railing you see is loose and about at your shin level. Each step is different that the last. Some are really high to get up and then some are only a couple of inches. The only light is on the third floor up there.

Westerners take photos of these death traps all the time and Yangon people run up and down them in flip flops.

One of my fb friends had to go five flights up several times to get bus tickets and she was thinking it would be her last day on earth. I saw lots of photos from her about 1 month before my first trip and thought it could not be that bad, but it is. I still love this city SO MUCH!

Those Steps look like a nightmare, super steep. There’s always something to learn when you travel, and when you travel who’s always stories to tell.

I feel sad for some of those people and at the same time I am amazed about how happy they feel when you ask them...

Last May, we were finally able to visit Callao Cave in Cagayan Valley, Philippines. This cave was where they found the fossils of the oldest inhabitant in the country. This was on my travel bucket list of local places to see.

Happy weekend for everyone, this is my contribution to the week # 39

Restinga Lagoon

La restinga.jpg

Is a national park that is located on Margarita Island in Venezuela. Its main attraction is the intricate networks of navigable channels, some very narrow by the mangroves. The walk through the canals is very relaxing and quite interesting and is done in boats that reach a beautiful beach.

Dead Sea Canyons

Pretty unusual composition shooting from inside the Canyon to the side of the Dead Sea at Israel side. At other side of the Sea you can see Jordan.
Pretty hot late spring day with some nice clouds even, making final view even more interesting

Post-production and color grading in LR+PS

Enjoy the scenery!
