Let's have fun, share our visual memories from our travels, enrich the STEEM community and earn along the way!

What is Travel Photography? It is that type of the Eight Art where we capture culture, people, landscapes, objects, cityscapes, customs, traditions, events, history, etc. and we express our feeling of the time and the place we visited. We all love it, right? ;)

Rules:

  • Comment under this post with one travel photo:
    • Only one entry per participant
    • You have exactly 24 hours to participate
    • Use ONLY your own original work, photos will be checked and plagiarism will be flagged and reported
    • No NSFW images
    • Adding your personal touch, a short story, the location, EXIF data, etc. is not obligatory but will definitely make your entry much more appealing and increase your chances of success ;)
    • If your comment contains more than one image I will consider only the first one. You may create a separate post with your photo if you wish, of course!
  • No Upvote, No Resteem, No Follow required. Of course, all the help and support you give is greatly appreciated and absolutely voluntary.

As you probably know, I am a professional photographer, so please show me your good stuff, I will be looking for things like story-telling, composition, quality, etc. May the best win!

Now, during nighttime, the Blue Mosque in Istanbul is rather lit in yellow and countered by a pink lit fountain. Long exposure featuring a guy posing for a portrait.

Two Worlds

Monochrome version of pretty stunning winter sunset at the dunes of Curonian Spit, Baltic Sea.
That morning we got heavy snow and can't miss the chance to get some winter fairy tale shots

And the sky was dark and moody. Great and very unusual contrast, while the foreground is much brighter than skies

taken with Canon 5d + 16-35mm.
the docks of Priozersk, Karelia, Russia. natural lightning (xprocessing added via PS). industrial part of the city is seen on the background. its a very, very small town. not intresting at all. just a point on the map (startin point of my Ladoga trips, as always).

Old city of Perast, Montenegro…

Visković Palace is now abandoned. Through the window on the top you can see the sky. The palace has peaked from the 15th to the 18th Centuries, and today the empty walls keeps memory of the golden age…

Finally I remember to participate :D I posted this photo on my blog yesterday, I think it's suitable for this contest as well:

After a long day travelling from Anuradhapura to Sigiriya with stops at the temples of Mihintale and the caves paintings of Dambulla, I had little time left to make it up Pidurangala rock for sunset. Having arrived at my hostel, I was looking for a bicycle to get to the start of the hike, and some amazing Sri Lankans lent me their bike and I made it up just in time. When I returned the bike, they didn't want any money and even invited me for dinner. Sri Lankan people are awesome!

Great contest @lightcaptured! Any excuse to reminisce about a travel experience. My entry comes from a great adventure in Iceland involving hitchhiking to the middle of no where and then having to walk out 😅. Lucky it was beautiful!

In 2016 I did a full round trip around Iceland with two other friends, also photographers, an unforgettable journey. Iceland is pure magic, isn't it? :)

You chose an excellent place for a photography trip! 😍 I don’t know anyone that has been to Iceland and hasn’t been incredibly moved by the place...it certainly is special! Hope to get back there one day.
