Welcome to Quick Тravel Photo Contest #33

headerIMG_7970.png

Let's have fun, share our visual memories from our travels, enrich the STEEM community and earn along the way!

What is Travel Photography? It is that type of the Eight Art where we capture culture, people, landscapes, objects, cityscapes, customs, traditions, events, history, etc. and we express our feeling of the time and the place we visited. We all love it, right? ;)

Rules:

  • Comment under this post with one travel photo:
    • Only one entry per participant
    • You have exactly 24 hours to participate
    • Use ONLY your own original work, photos will be checked and plagiarism will be flagged and reported
    • No NSFW images
    • Adding your personal touch, a short story, the location, EXIF data, etc. is not obligatory but will definitely make your entry much more appealing and increase your chances of success ;)
    • If your comment contains more than one image I will consider only the first one. You may create a separate post with your photo if you wish, of course!
  • No Upvote, No Resteem, No Follow required. Of course, all the help and support you give is greatly appreciated and absolutely voluntary.

Notice: Quick Тravel Photo Contest is taking a short break and will be returning next week. I will announce the winner then. You still have 24 hours to enter the contest. Any entry past this point will not be considered.

As you probably know, I am a professional photographer, so please show me your good stuff, I will be looking for things like story-telling, creativity, composition, quality, etc. May the best win!

The winner gets 1 SBI share

If you are not familiar with the SBI initiative, check out their blog @steembasicincome. Generally, it is upvotes on your posts for life, a great concept indeed!

Taken in Banff National Park at Rundle Mountain and the Vermillion Lakes. We were coming back from a hiking trip to Kananaskis and decided to take the long way home to Edmonton via the Bow Valley Parkway. For those not familiar with the area, it's an absurd detour that makes the drive twice as long but it's the most beautiful drive in Canada and worth the extra time. Just before we got on our detour, we came across this nice sunset reflection and had to stop for a quick shot.

West_Tenerife_001_s.jpg

The West Coast of Tenerife (About 30% of the length of it, at least), visible from a hill. Yup, not on a plane, nor on a bird. Just driving up the slope.

this was shot back in 2009 when I was on a day visit at Warshava. I had no wide lens with me, used my universal 50-mm Saviour, and focused mostly on details, not on the cityscapes. needless to say -- I loved everything! that was my 1st (and last) visit to Europe, hehe. I was very into mascarons (buildings decorations in shape of masks) around that period, so I shoot a lot of them then.

Thank you for sharing these shots and the story, I've actually never been to Poland and it's so close to us.

well, I had very solid impressions, but probably its 'imprinting thing' -- it was my 1st / last visit to Europe at all. I visited Poznan, and also had a bit of Warshawa -- but if you plan to go, try to head for Krakov. It's known as the cultural capitol of Poland (like St.Peter in Russia) and has astonishing medieval architecture -- which kept well to ourdays (not like Warshava). atb!

My trip to the Kimberley Mountains in Western Australia was one of my highlights in my life one breathtaking journey i captured this photo from top of the gorges as this helicopter was flying by just perfect timing.

The Kimberley is the northernmost of the nine regions of Western Australia. It is bordered on the west by the Indian Ocean, on the north by the Timor Sea, on the south by the Great Sandy and Tanami Deserts in the region of the Pilbara, and on the east by the Northern Territory.

Silence of the Nile

Perfectly calm and colorful early morning at Luxor, Egypt. First night on board small cruise ship and expecting the journey to start pretty soon, but still after visiting The Valley of Kings first...

Shot from the upper deck while everybody were still sleeping

Enjoy the Scenery!
