SKI SLOPE SNOWWORLD ZOETERMEER

# NOTE TO ALL THESE PICTURES ARE MADE BY ME

What can you do in a country without snow and you want to practice with the kids. Well you go indoor. We have some possibilities but this option is the best. The dome Snowworld. With real snow, and indoor temperatures of-4 to keep the experience closest to the real deal. The ski slope is in Zoetermeer, its about an 45 minute drive from the city centre of Rotterdam and a fun place to go. As we are leaving for Austria soon its the best way to prepare yourself and your family in a country without snow. In these months is getting more and more crowded because 25 of February is a holiday in the Netherlands and most people jump to the occasional habit to go skiing in either Germany, Austria or Switzerland. We will be going before and hopefully that will have an advantage for the lines at the ski lifts.

First things first, we changed from school and work clothes into our ski gear. And the helmets were a MUST. Safety first ! The parking is big and in front of the skidome, and its free. We parked near the entrance. I bought tickets online with a discount. The gear needed to be adjusted and after all was checked we were good to go inside the cold dome.

<img alt="With 4 slopes, this ski dome has the steepest indoor slope in Europe and 10 ski lifts, SnowWorld Zoetermeer offers a unique experience on real snow. And for us the best preperations with the kids to see if they need any lessons." The dome has tried to copy the scenery the best to the real deal. It even has a sky at at the end of the longest slope. A snaps ( the local drink in Austria ) and redbull is available there. src="" width="1478" height="363" />

The slopes are wide, well as wide as an indoor ski slope can be. We were early in the afternoon after school and at that time not many people were there, which was great for the first time practicing again after a year.

This is the third slope and the longest and you see there aren't very many skiers at that moment.

The dome has three passage ways to go from the first to slopes to the highest third. The skipass you have is for 1 hour, 2 hours or more. We took a pass for 2 hours because the kids needed to be in bed by 8 o’clock because the day after was a schoolday offcourse and for the first time that would certainly be enough!

<img alt="The dome also has the possibility get lessons but the boys had been in the snow on skies for 4 years so that wasn’t nesseccary. The tickets are 20 euros and the gear rent was 10 euros per person for shoes and skies. We had great fun and we are prepared to be on the slopes of Austria." I know that’s a lot but skiing is an expensive holiday. And the dome must cost a lot to keep it up and running. src="" width="1530" height="1730" />

This a video :

https://youtu.be/xnnvJkktR2c. This is one of the boys in the fun park.

While helping one of the boys going in the lift ( the lifts available are flat pull ones ) one of those hit my calf. While writing this blog I can tell you about a very dark bruise on the right side, so hurting some parts of the body while practicing and while skiing and having fun is needed to be considered!

After we were done, We checked out and changed into normal clothes again. And we went for something to eat in the restaurant next to the first slope. The music and the Tiroler outlook took us to Austria already. They serve all kinds of Austrian dishes and even ‘apfelstrudel’ the local apple pie with whipped cream and the hot chocolate. And you also have the opportunity to book a table and have a cheese fondue night. I saw there was a bachelorette party who was having dinner there well that’s fun. We were ready at seven and were home in time for bed. We still have a little time before we leave for Lermoos, Berwang and Bichlbach in Austria. I wil keep you posted.

We are going to Bichlbach, Austria. It is a municipality in the Reutte district in the Austrian state of Tyrol. In addition to the small village of the same name, the municipality consists of the villages of Lähn and Wengle. We will be doing a route of 900 km and we will both drive. I am so looking forward to all Austria has to offer me and my family and I am for sure going to try to make a googly snowman. So all you travelfeed’ers see you in the next blog !
