Sulinskaya. Part 1

avatar

Sulinskaya is a village in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region. It is part of the Yudinsky rural settlement. The distance by road to the district center of Veliky Ustyug is 11 km, to the center of the municipality of Yudino - 26 km. This is also a floodplain village, which is located parallel to Rogozinino.

Sulinskaya is very similar to the previous village: the location of the houses and other objects completely coincides. What is especially pleasing is the same cozy atmosphere!

The open facades of houses that stretch along a narrow street in an even string - beauty!

If you visit both villages once and don’t know their differences, you can easily confuse one with the other. Honestly, I confused them for a long time when I went swimming in the river. If you turn the wrong way, you will find yourself in the same place, but now there is no exit to the river. Of course, you can get to the river, but the path will be a little further and lead a little in the wrong place.

In Sulinskaya there is also an old five-wall house with a carved balcony.

Which stands at a small turn: everything is like in Rogozinino. Twin villages? No, just all floodplain villages are very similar. And these two are also located close to each other.

The only difference between Sulinskaya and Rogozinino is that Sulinskaya is much shorter in length. But Sulinskaya is larger in area, because it is divided into two parts: the second half of the village is a little further, behind a small section of the field.

This village is also connected with my childhood, but with other facts. Through Sulinskaya we went to the village of Aristovo (the village is located on the opposite bank of the Northern Dvina). In winter, a trail along the frozen river led to Aristovo, and in summer and autumn, a boat crossing was organized from coast to coast.

You can get into the second part of the village from the first, the main thing is to find the passage between the houses.

To be continued...
