3 Places I wanna Take My Kids in Jamaica | The Japan Winter Vibes | JPUD & SPUD

(Edited)

Winter is hear and the breeze is cold, bones are aching am I getting old?.... LOL.. Ok enough with the poetry.

So just now I thought of 3 places I'd like to take my kids to in Jamaica. This idea came from reading @crypticats JPUD Post ( JAHM Power Up Day) stating that he wanted all the JAHMIN peeps that powered up to tell us a place in Jamaica they wanted to visit.

The thing is, many Jamaicans don't get to experience all Jamaica has to offer as life gets in the way. Well today I'm staking my ideas into the universe of places I want to show my kids in Jamaica. Three places came to mind just now, but I know many more will come. Yup, it is all about the kids now, if I thought about my wife and I we'd be cool just chilling on the beach sippin Redstripes.

Three places I want to take my kids In Jamaica.

Dolphine Cove, Ocho Rios

Yeah, the kids would love this place. Swimming with Dolphins in the actual sea not a pool? How cool is that? I will probably have to join them but I think it will be some good fun especially after a puff or two:)

Mystic Mountain, Ocho Rios

Mystic mountain is Bobsled meets roller coaster ride with a panoramic view of Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Why Mystic mountain?Well which kid doesn't like zooming in a roller coaster thingy with a nice view? Kids love thrills. And yes, this is actually safe for kids, it doesn't go that fast ( cough) and it is inspected regularly. There are other things to do at Mystic Mountain like zip lining through the forest and near by there is Dunn's River Falls. you can also just chill and enjoy the scenery if the thrill rides aren't your thing. There is a lift like what they have at those ski lodges ( yeah I have never been skiing, as seen on TV).

Kool Runnings Water Park, Negril

But Dmilliz, why would you go to a water park when Jamaica has so many beautiful beaches?

Again, gotta think about the kids. All kids love water and they love slides ( well most), put them together and this place is like a dream come true. I read they have something called a " Dive in Movie" every last Saturday so the kids can dive and glimpse a movie to relax..... if they feel like. They also have Birthday packages here for those travelling in groups with kiddies. Dig this, every last Sunday they have a Foam party with DJs. Hmm might leave the kids out of that one, the Wifey too hehehe.

Back to reality

Yup, so this is what it is looking like in Japan now, its basically winter with a hint of autumn. While there are beautiful sites to behold, it is way too friggin cold. But that won't stop kids, they wanna be outside. So while my wife and I were complaining how cold it was the boys were having a blast at this playground on the temple grounds. Every week we gotta switch up the parks.

Give thanks for all these parks here in Japan, without them I am not sure what I'd do with Yumar and Kamar on weekends.

They would play here all day if we let them. When it is time to leave its always a fuss, gotta promise them some ice cream or say we are going to Grandma's house.

Just a few months ago I had to help them get up these things, now they can manage it all by themselves. Oh yeah did I mention we went to another park the day before?

The leaves do look cool in Autumn-Winter here especially the maple leaves. A very unique colour.

I have never actually scene or heard them sound this bell. But I know it still works. At other temples they usually sound the alarm to let you know work time is over or it's lunch time.

After a quick meditation by the temple we left and went home. This is a shot I took of outside my place. Nice looking skies. Well, I am gonna show my boys the best of both worlds. They have actually been to Jamaica before but were way too young to remember anything. Here is a clip of the boys on the beach. Look at em go!

Before I go, JPUD proof! Power up some JAHM Tokens for JAHM Power Up Day and some Steem for SPUD. Not much of a power up but every little bit counts.

@dmilliz
Wonderful post with your thoughts running to your children first like any parent should think
Relive your childhood through your children and give them everything you didn’t have. Good stuff dmilliz. I can relate.

we all have a short time to get close to children before they grow up so fast and then move away from us because they have their own lives
