I love that splash of water against a kayak or a board or a boat, and the beautiful meandering up a river. I've not spent a lot of time on the Murray, but we did see a few nooks of it on way back from the Flinders Ranges last year.
Grumpy in the morning? Best not camp with me. I'm up at sparrow's fart bouncing around - I'm an evening grump!

You're an early riser? First one up gets the fire going and the coffee brewing! 😂
How good is paddling huh! So relaxing. Thanks for commenting.
P.s I love the Flinders and spend a lot of time there. Such a relaxing place and one in which I feel very comfortable.
HAPPY to!!! And I LOVE camp cooking... I will make you brekky in bed!
Stop teasing me! What? Damn it...Where have you been on every single camping trip I've ever been on?! 😃
I'm pretty good over the fire too I guess. Loads of practice as we go camping a lot. When Faith is with me it's a bit more civilised but if I'm out with the lads...Well, more basic. Still, love the flavours of camp cooking, the process. So much fun...But better if someone is doing it all for me! Thanks for volunteering.
Ha, no worries. When I was in my early 20's I was travelling 'round Australia, and did the grapepicking season in Margaret River (this must have been '95/'96 ish) where I stayed in the caravan park at Gracetown with heaps of other travellers, international and Australian. I'd always pick like a demon so I'd finish early, and go to the supermarket to buy stuff for dinner. Everyone would give me $2 and I would buy stuff to make a huge curry, soup or stew over the fire, where everyone would bring a bowl or a cup and beers and sit around and eat. I totally loved doing it as it brought everyone together, and I always believed people should be well fed - I mean, most young crew can barely cook two minute noodles, and I grew up in a vego health mad house where I was taught to cook. I love, love love camp cooking!! It appeals to my creative side, plus I get a bit bored sitting around and have to do something!!
Well, you'd be welcome around my campfire anytime.
I love how people tend to congregate around the campfire when away don't you? We generally stay away from other people in remote areas but have been on trips where we camped in caravan parks and have enjoyed many happy hours with strangers, talking shit, having some laughs and learning things from new people. So much fun.
And oh yeah.. SUCH a special place!
Yep. Do you recall where you camped?
I don't!!! Some remote station somewhere - or a couple. Can't recall the name.
