The Curation and Engagement Leagues 🏆

avatar

A busy week for me (sorry I didn't respond to everyone last time), but how is engagement looking this week......

With 30 STEEM and a number of SBI shares to be won - sign up, engage, and win! 🎁

Welcome to the Engagement and Curation leagues. How does your engagement on Steem compare against others?

This weeks Post is sponsored by @esteemapp - A mobile and desktop app for Steem.

Thank you for your sponsorship @esteemapp!

League Info

Would you like to enter the leagues? Make a comment below - this is for a lifetime membership and so you will need to ask to be removed.

The league tables are reset each week and so any time is a good time to join!

The Engagement League

This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.

Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here - including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks.

I've used some metrics relating to:

  • Posts (P)
  • Comments - number of (C)
  • Number of people spoken to (PS)
  • Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (C R)
  • Comments - length in characters (C L)
  • Witness votes (W) (for those proxying witness votes, your total is always 30)
  • Up-votes to others (V)
  • Up-votes to different authors (U V)
  • Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus STEEM (S V)

Note: Copy/Paste comments will be excluded!

Engagement League Table

Firstly, if you are placed in the table above then you among the top 15% of the league entrants!

  • 353 accounts earned a score this week (367 last time)
  • The top 100 produced 856 top level posts (783 last time)
  • The top 100 produced 12251 comments (12665 last time)
  • The top 100 produced over 2.48 million characters of text in comments (2.46 last time)
  • The top 100 cast 33112 votes (30024 last time), of these, 346 were self-votes (292 last time)

Congratulations to this weeks Engagement League winner:

@tattoodjay! 🏆

The first two remain unchanged as @tattoodjay heads @johannpiber at the top of the Engagement League - well done again (again!) chaps, excellent work :)

This weeks 3rd is @chireerocks, good stuff!

Excellent engagement levels also from who will all be receiving some STEEM this week.

Those without a self-vote and placed in the top ranks will also receive a little STEEM. These people are: @dswigle, @alokkumar121, @wakeupkitty, @tarazkp, @brittandjosie, @hangin, @fitinfun.

Well done everyone!

The Curation League / Rewards based

NOTE: If you have started a power-down or been involved in delegations in/out of your account, you will not appear on this list for 15 days following the activities above. Thanks!

The end column is what I think is a genuine indicator of how well you are financially working the curation game with the tools, including vested Steem Power, that you have at your disposal.

Interesting names up there this week!

Well done on picking up a prize this week @whatsup! The list contains many of Steem's chattiest people, and without them things would be a lot quieter, cheers :)

As always, thank you so much Asher for the Steem and for your effort to keep this league up.
My congratulations to @tattoodjay, who is probably watching rugby right now ;) and to all other members of this fabulous league for their engagement.

@abh12345, please add me as sponsor for the lucky number 12 - I have already sent some SBI to @truelovemom 😊

Looks like another nice steady week, no doom and gloom from the hard fork brooms. We are still posting, commenting and voting, so things are looking good and steady.

Congratulations to everyone for not being chased off the end of the steem world with a hard fork poking you in the backside. I think we will all be happy campers once the price of steem turns around, not that we are unhappy campers if we were we would all be leery about posting voting and commenting, which we obviously are not.

Have a good week all, and see some of you in the comment sections of posters/bloggers, and for the master of ceremonies, a sip of !BEER.

The figures look good across the board, pretty impressive :)

The people heading these lists deserve to have STEEM go on a run, i have my fingers crossed.

It will be nice if the Christmas surprise is $1.00 steem value. People seem to be getting over the whole 100% high quality view and are looking at the quality content with fresher eyes, not those of a wanna be magazine mogul, but those of did I find that post/content enjoyable.

Dang major slippage this month, but I only made 88 comments this week compared to 160 last week. What was really notable was the % of CR this week down from over 40% last week to under 30% this week..

I can't just be expected to have conversations with myself and I don't leave the typical "nice post" comments. I wrote almost 26k characters that I'd assume would get some kind of response..

I think the majority of my chats stem from my posts though and I only made 4 this week.. I'm really finding the correlation between any account posting more than once daily and creating what I consider decent stuff to be almost non existent. I'll look again at the table to see if I'm off base here but I don't think I am..

Not that time is the only measure of good content but I find it difficult to believe anyone posting more than 1.5 times a day or so is putting that much into the 2nd 3rd etc post de jour. Not to mention if one is in fact spending hours a day on their own content when do they find time to actually engage with the community? Most don't I'd venture to say...

I've probably upset some multi daily posters but we shall see how many people actually read this comment which is of course made on a post that is viewed by the engaging steemians.

On a good week I post 35+ posts on three niche blogs. None of those are poop posts. I enter contests and challenges on most of my posts and support the others who enter too. Between my three blogs I normally make 250+ replies a week and engage in many places. This works for me and I am at it like crazy each and every day when not sick or travelling.

I also visit many of the posts from people in the tops tiers here who also have a lot of activity. The posts are high quality in my opinion, or I would not be going there.

I find it difficult to believe anyone posting more than 1.5 times a day or so is putting that much into the 2nd 3rd etc post de jour

I suggest visiting the people at the top here so you can get a good idea of what they do. Your comment is full of mis-guided information which you can de-bunk on your own.

That's definitely a completely different approach and there's certainly room for that here. I'm not into the contests or challenges myself and seek out content that is a bit more intimate, individual, and maybe even daring.

Perhaps our interests and expectations are vastly different which is fine. If you think my perspective is misguided I can respect that being that you put so much time and energy into the brand of steem you enjoy, but I think it's more to do with different strokes for different folks.

I'm seeking the unique, avant garde, forms of expression via written word, art, music, film, comedy, satire, or personal insights that are illuminating and world bridging. In my humble opinion such art cannot be smashed out multiple times a day without losing its colour and purpose. In this context I enjoy rebellious coffee shop revolutionary revelry that entertains me and drives me to get to the marrow of an existence that won't likely be found in forced exercises that aim to give people a focus.. Not saying I'm some literary marvel or something but if Thoreau were alive and steeming I doubt he would be free writing a contest that uses a word of the day. Monet wouldn't be entering a green themed challenge. Zappa wouldn't be interested in daily covers songs on a 4 string beachy instrument..

We are just steeming from different places that's all...

I struggle with posts also - 7 in a week would be epic. It's the commentary which adds a fair amount of time - the more posts, the more replies to respond to.

There are a few people who seem to have the time to post and reply, admirable stuff.

Yea I'm not knocking the hustle I'm just pointing out there are only so many days in the week. Good memes and internet gold and Netflix still occupy the majority of my time and until I can watch Star Trek on steem that going to be my reality lol..

Picard out! Engage 🖖

Thank you so much, @abh12345 for the leagues and the STEEM this week. I did better than I thought I would by far. I'm so happy for these leagues to keep me on track.

And thank you @tarazkp for the spot prize. I love my SBI!

This week I have dead wifi and will not be back up to speed until Fri midnight. So I will see how I do.

I am not sure how I missed this yesterday, except to say it was a busy day for me! Thank you so much, Asher, @abh12345 for hosting this delightful challenge which promotes true engagement around steemit. I believe most people are making more of an effort and I believe it is in part the challenge of being on top. So a big thank you for all you do!

Congratulations to @tattoodjay as the #1 person (again!) That is awesome and of course, the fast-fingered typist, @johannpiber! Congratulations for your #2 win (again!) Not to be forgotten is @chireerocks!Congratulations in rounding up the top 3!

As an aside, to the lucky#9 winning number, I will be registering 2 SBI in your name and you will see that soon! Congratulations to Angelo! @hangin! Lucky #9!

Have a great day, people and let get steemin!
