One photo every day: Someone wanted to pose for my camera... (337/365)

Hello and good evening!

I finally got to editing, and here's my story...

When I posted my earlier post in the beach café in Messilä, about not being able to find anything to shoot, and how I didn't even feel like taking the camera out of the bag, I didn't yet know what would happen.

Before going to my car, I thought "whatever, I'll try shooting some photos here". And almost as soon as I whipped out the camera, I got lucky. Although, at first, my target, a redwing was a bit too nicely hidden in the tree, and I couldn't get a clean shot. But then when i walked along the pier and came to the spot where I had previously photographed a barn swallow, I noticed a similar swallow in the head of a mooring pike.

I tried shooting my camera at it, but it decided I wasn't close enough and flew right in front of me, on the shorebank that went along the other side of the pier. And here's the little guy:

Haarapääsky :: Barn swallow (Hirundo rustica)

Might even be the same guy as before. Who knows? Although, this one looks a bit younger.

I got many different shots, but I think this one is kind of interesting. Also one of the very best I ever took. I've not gotten as clear images as this one on my 300mm lens, but maybe once or twice before.

I will post some other shots later, but I think I'll have to go walk Ninnu again. So see ya! :)

And good night!

Pretty much perfect. Only a bare minimum of edits was even needed. It might have passed without edits too, but I wanted to deepen the blacks a bit and lighten those shadows just a bit, but I think I honestly couldn't have taken a better shot. :)

There was actually no real editing to be done. I only deepened the blacks a few percent, and brought out the shadows just a tad, but I knew the shot was already pretty much perfect when I saw it in the editor.

Good capture, I understand perfectly ... there are times when we have no animosity of anything, but it is good that you walk a bit and you can make a good picture, I leave my support and one tip is that you never give up

Wow it looks great that photo, was very close or is with the zoon of the camera, very good details can be seen from that bird.

It looks like a pichon, as we say in Venezuela

The bird was only a little under 2 meters away and it just let me come right in front to take the photos. Oh, and yes, I used the 75-300mm lens.

You are an exercise machine. Gym, shopping, walk the dog. You should be getting into shape already.

This guy looks very different from the first one you took of the stray bird. This guy is much bigger much more colourful. The other one looked more like a little baby girl!
I tried to capture birds’ photos but they were always too fast for me! May be I should put sleeping pills in the water to make them sleepy so I could take their photos! Hahaha!

The stray chick was also from a completely different species, but the size is about the same. Full grown barn swallows are not much bigger than that fieldfare chick was. Fieldfares are much bigger birds than swallows.

These are awesome little birds man, they are marvels in how much stamina and power they have for something so small and fragile. Yo are also turning into a movement master, will you be doing a baywatch shoot soon?

It was pretty remarkable... I was really close and it didn't want to move anywhere so I kept shooting the camera for a quite a while, gradually getting closer and closer. This was about as close as I could get, a little under 2 meters or so.
