COCKTAIL DRESS [ENG-ITA]

Hello everybody, do you like this dress? Wonderful!!!
This cloud of sparkling yellow tulle makes us think with champagne bubbles…...yes, not, maybe…..
Don’t worry, its represent a dress, but in reality it is not, because…...it is a installation.

Ciao a tutti, vi piace questo abito? Spendido!!!
Questa nuvola di tulle gialla spumeggiante che ci fa pensare alle bollicine di champagne….si, no, forse…..
Tranquilli esso rappresenta un abito, ma in realtà non lo è, perché…...è un’istallazione.

So I called it Cocktail Dress, to make a little irony on the world that it want to represent.
Cocktail Dress!!! I’d like to know, how many of you women have ever worn one?
Honestly the name makes me laugh a little, but in the field of fashion one often hears, clearly destined for a certain social level.

L’ho chiamato Abito da Cocktail, così per fare un po’ di ironia sul mondo che vuole rappresentare.
Abito da Cocktail!!! Mi piacerebbe sapere, quante di voi donne ne ha mai indossato uno?
Sinceramente il nome mi fa un po’ ridere, ma nel campo della moda si sente spesso, chiaramente destinato ad un certo livello sociale.

Has the bodice made with recycled materials like leather, cloth, satin, tulle braideds on a t-shirt-shaped wire mesh and crutch. On the waist it has a row of caps placed as if they were buttons.

Ha il corpetto fatto da materiali riciclati come pelle, stoffa, raso, tulle intrecciati su una rete a forma di maglietta e gruccia. Sul punto vita ha una fila di tappi messi come fossero bottoni.

All the rest of the skirt is made from layers of tulle and mesh, embroidered with glass motifs, glasses, bottles etc. with raffia and cotton threads.

Tutto il resto della gonna è fatta da strati di tulle e rete, ricamati con motivi di bicchieri, bottiglie ecc. con fili di rafia, e cotone.

Also there are applications such as plastic bottle bottoms, caps, and metals acessory.

Inoltre ci sono applicazioni come fondi di bottiglie di plastica, tappi, e accessori metallici.

I realized it for a Fiber Art exhibition in the Rocca of Sala Baganza, Parma, called “Visions to Wear”

L’ho realizzato per una mostra di Fiber Art alla Rocca di Sala Baganza , Parma, intitolata “Visioni da Indossare”

And these are the images of inauguration of the exhibition. I can’t say that this work has been very successfull, or that it has been understood of the public. I do not care, what matters to me is doing what I like and I believe most. Are you agree? I hope that this work you like!!!
