Invested your PAL? Go stake your LEO!
There is something new on Steem everyday, #newsteem, so much better than the old steem, right? Yes right, cause we say it's so, and then it will become so.

And the below are some bits that I've picked out to discuss.
What content does steemleo want to see?
A community for investors to talk about anything and everything related to investing
I figure an intro post like this with a mention of luckily investing extra PAL will do for today!

steemleo air-dropped to PAL stakeholders
As above, only PAL stakeholders, e.g., those that didn't immediately dump their PAL on the market for some quick gains, will have received some LEO in today's drop. And the cool thing for me and others who have been actively buying PAL is...
Yep, they matched the total vested PAL, and not just the original amount airdropped - sweet!
After the claim-drop, the stake of PAL tokens continually spread out as some people dumped their PAL on the market and others bought PAL and decided to stake it.
I've had a couple of people mention to me that they regret dumping their free PAL, so I suspect this may add a little insult to injury. This approach isn't my idea of investing, and steemleo thinks the same.
PAL whales / LEO whales?
One point of interest is that the PAL mods who received insta-whale status on palnet have also been given that privilege on steemleo also:

One point to note is that if you have delegated your PAL (to perhaps give you more versatility when voting content), you'll need to get in contact with steemleo as you have likely not been air-dropped any LEO. This could well be rectified on mass soon enough though.

I can't get them until they do the second airdrop since I delegated most of my PAL.
I think a number have done the same to give a bit more flexibility when voting. I'm too lazy and would rather have the option to switch various stakes on and off. At the rate they are being released though, I guess delegating could be the best option.
I prefer on at all times. It's easy, I don't have to think, and for this post here I earned three separate curation rewards. With so many new tokens and groups, tags, whatever... it's better, in my mind, to leave everything staked and in my control. One post I'll get two tokens, the next one I might get three, someday I might get more; I won't need to look at the tags, I can just vote like normal.
I think some will, and that's how I felt to begin with. However, if you have a decent stake in a token and the posts you find via steemit/busy are not using the tag that 'activates' your stake to vote, then you aren't actually using what the stake is there for. Hmm, badly explained.
Basically, I'm topping out my PAL vote power whilst my Steem vote power is clinging on to 80%. And it's very likely my LEO power will be sat at 100% even more than PAL.
It's a faff, but without options to switch off your S V P at each interface (this is available on dtube), it would be shrewd to delegate to accounts and curate 'locally'. Not much better with the explanation but i hope you are with me :)
I totally get it. Right now both my SP and PP are equal in vote power, which makes sense because of variety, and to me it only makes sense the smaller niche groups remain fully powered at almost all times, because I won't spend the day voting only sports or investment advice, nor will I have the time to creep around to each group. I'll be treating the smaller niche as a bonus. Soon enough every post will come with that bonus anyway, so to me it won't really matter what the token's name is or where it comes from. I should admit though, I'm kinda fuzzy in the head today.
The separate account thing for me is mostly for downvoting.
Since they all share the same voting pool, I figured it was easier to maximize. But yeah, I would prefer having one account that does it all.
Most things I'd downvote would be unacceptable in most communities. The bidbot abuse, well, different story I guess, but if most votes were bought, chances are they're earning PAL from a STEEM vote seller, so that just makes the downvote more powerful, meaningful, and hopefully the abuse stops quicker.
This only adds to the confusion though. I wouldn't want to see a slider with 50 options.
That's the thing. the likes of buildawhale don't have any PAL staked. And so if you disagreed with a reward on Steem and chose to downvote, you would be downvoting the post on palnet with the same % which had received 0 vote value from buildawhale 'over there'. The vote could be used to downvote something else :)

Micro-economies that can be traded and grown like this is the revolution and revelation to the new steemit culture. Excellent work by all. I prefer to go to the salad bar to pick and choose what I like, not eat out of a 5 gallon bucket of slurry. Although that slurry can be good from time to time eventually it gets old especially when it's a very similar recipe every day for several months at a time and sometimes from the same truckload that showed up months ago, lol.

Too funny on the tags... our steemit posts are starting to look like racing cars with all the sponsors and supporters, lol. The next big thing for the following hardfork may be "Do we have a limit of is hash tags? If so is it 10 hash tags, or 20?" I added to a post I did a few days ago talking about the future financial prospects of steem along with PAL and SPT and added the hash tag because I felt it totally fit in with the theme of the desired content. When people start posting actfit, drugwars battles and steemmonsters battle we may have a problem that needs to be taken care of, lol.
5 currently for busy, where I usually post from, but I think 10 or more is the norm now.
I did see an actifit report on steemleo earlier - doh!
The tag limit is front-end specific. No need for a hardfork to change it.

Found it, claimed it, staked it. Thank you for watching our backs and letting us know about this. I don't know much about investing, and will likely have very very few post, but one every now and then may not hurt. If these early payouts, hold you are going to be a LEO King in no time.

Yeah I saw them as they had way more value than anything else and were sat at the top! Hopefully staking and using the tag (and supporting the tag) is the best plan long term.
I think I'll change one of the tags on my last post, that was sort of about investing!

It is a topic I like to write about - on what i think of as 'finance Fridays'.
At least with this tag you're supposed to write about investment.
I think they need to change the palnet tag to 'spamtopalnet' and reserve 'palnet' for posts about palnet.

I guess if you didn't post on the subject or rarely visited the blogs of those who did then it could be an option to pick a sell price and then buy the tokens of a tribe you did spend a lot of time following. As for me, I'm a bit random with my content and do like to read about stocks, crypto, and general money type stuff at times :)
It makes sense to use PALNet's distribution because it was a very well done airdrop. Why start from square one when you piggyback off another project and let them do the work for you?
For the most part yes. I did notice one large steem stakeholder 'merging' his drops from 8+ accounts into one place to the tune of about 7k.

Still bummed my PAL airdrop never arrived after I claimed my initial reward, which was very tiny. Sounds like it cost me free LEO I would have deserved.
I will have to go back and visit the PAL discord channel to ask why I was overlooked. Last week the blockchain was so laggy, we thought that was why the airdrop reward was not appearing.
I think it's worth paying them a visit as you seem to have been fairly active these past few months. I'm not aware of the criteria used.

That's hilarious. I had no idea why I received exactly 4658 LEO; just figured there was an arcane formula somewhere. Staked PAL = airdropped LEO. Not so complex after all, and an excellent way of doing an airdrop.
Isn't it! Those that just offloaded their PAL right away are likely kicking themselves now. There could be more airdrops with the same setup and I'm glad I quadrupled my PAL stake right now! :)
I caught on gina you have written something to suggest a means to stop folks offloading right away, I've not got to it yet but am aware Steemhunt are still trickling their tokens out.

Yes I think all the posts will show on steemit/busy/etc, but they will only show on palnet with the palnet tag (or if authored on palnet.io as palnet is the first tag by default - same for steemleo.
Okay, will try out Steem Leo shortly. Do I have to use a tag. Something like #SteemLeo?

Depends on how many 'investment' type blogs you visit. It could be worth trading them in for some PAL - many options :)

Safely back home from vacation and catching up a bit, just staked my LEO @abh12345. Perhaps one of these days, I'll have some time to figure out all of these new tokens. For now, I will safely "tuck them away" ...

Hello abh, please do you know how long it takes to unstake in steem engine?
As far as I am aware, it is up to the owners of the token to decide. I believe LEO is 7 days, and I think PAL (and the miners) is 5 days.
