The Veggie Burger Wins! -- Common Sense VS Kapitalism

Today the EU Parliament finally got to vote on plant based food naming.

The EU lawmakers opposed some proposal pushed by the meat and dairy industry lobby to ban naming of plant-based food such as veggie-burger of vegan-schnitzel.

Demanding this, if you'd ask me, is ridiculous by itself. It doesn't help anyone except the meat and dairy industry in protecting their market.

One of the arguments was that it is misleading consumers. Well if that is an argument than the following images shows exactly that:

Anyways, today the EU parliament voted against the ban on veggie-food naming! It's a small step, but it's a step forward for our society and our environment!

As Swedish EU lawmaker Jytte Guteland puts it: “I’m going to celebrate with a vegan burger,”
