MARKET FRIDAY: The small market that doesn't want to disappear

Today is Friday, November 1, I am only four days after 90 days of entering my large community where I have found varied and interesting publications, but most importantly, it is the people who create and sponsor them.

For many years, usually in the urbanization where I reside, they set up a street market of meats, cheeses, groceries, fruits and vegetables in a common area, which we call "The small market".

This morning, when reviewing my blog, I found Market Friday started by @DSWIGLE and I said to myself, what a good idea it is! I'm going to take some pictures while I bought some food for the weekend.

It should be noted that my country is going through one of the biggest economic crises in its history, which I will not tell you about now, which has greatly affected our lifestyle. However, on the tour I found some happy faces despite the crisis, they had little, but still, even willingly wanted to appear in my photographs.

In the recent past, that area on Friday was full of many more street shops, they were installed before dawn and dismantled two or three hours after noon.

People from other urbanizations came and parked their vehicles in long queues on the sidewalks, got off buying and even had delicious cachapas (of corn) filled with cheese or they ate the traditional arepa stuffed with meat, beans, ham, octopus squid Just to name a few kinds.

Now, there is a moderate activity, many of my countrymen, the youngest have decided to undertake the trip to other neighboring countries to try their luck, which in their country has been reduced.

However, I remain optimistic that the situation will improve and that the small market will return as it was before.

Hello from Martinique!!!

This is a note from @dswigle (Denise! That's me!) I am still cruising the high seas but now we have reached much warmer Waters since last week. I have not had agreeable internet handshakes with steemit since I left, much to my sadness. I can see what people write, but. Not co.ment, resteem or upvote. So just now that I have have read all of your #MarketFriday posts and I so pleased to see it continue in my absence. Thank you. Most humbled by your loyalty to the challenge. I also want to thank @old-guy-photos for passing my messages to all of you. I won't be there for a couple of weeks however I promise to take care of of those what kind enough to post into the challenge and while will be too late to upvote or resteem, the power of tipping remains good. Thank you again!

And yes, there must always be a flower.

#MarketFriday loves you!

I've participated in #marketfriday a few times. It's a great initiative. It's a pity that I'm usually too tired on Fridays to make such posts. 🤦‍♂️

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together a @MarketFriday post while I have been away! I was able to read them, however, I was not able to comment, resteem or once I left on the cruise, upvote them. I am still on a cruise and have made it back to the Caribbean and will be home Sunday night, November 17 or possibly as late as the 18th.

Thank you again for keeping #MarketFriday going! It is appreciated more than you will know! I leave you with a tip. 💖
