Living With A Calendar Model

(Edited)

One of the things I've missed over the past couple of months has been the #dogsofsteemit posts put out by @supernovastaffy who did an amazing job of running this contest for 85 weeks (seriously, thanks for brightening so many days with pictures of puppies), so this post is inspired by those posts.

On New Years Day 2020, it will be 3 years since we adopted our pup Lucy from our local Dog Shelter. She has been a wonderful addition to our family, and a great friend for our daughter. The Dog's Home does a fantastic job, and like all animal shelters, does so with limited resources. As one of their annual fundraisers, they release a calendar featuring dogs that have been adopted from their centres all over the state.

This year my wife decided to submit a photo of Lucy - and she made the cut!!!

You can tell she is rather nonplussed by all the fuss, but needless to say we're pretty proud of her, and we plan on buy a whole bunch of the calendars to distribute as Christmas gifts this year.

Thanks for reading my ramble.

Supercute! And congratulations to you all! Has your lives changed much since she made it big? And how are you able to stay humble brother?

Well to be honest she's become a bit of a Diva. She has been known to feign needing to be let outside to see, only to double back and steal my chair as soon as I get up.

As for staying humble, well I suspect all the unpaid interns to the stars are pretty humble.

Cute lil doggie. That's cool to hear it has been such a great experience for you and your family to be connected with Lucy, and also that the picture of Lucy was picked for the calendar! It's nice to hear some positive stories like this to help balance out all the negative in the world. :)
